The Herb I Use to Fill Cavities

Lately my teeth have been getting a little sensitive so I am going to start taking horsetail every day. Here’s how you can do it too: 1. Find a quality source of dry horsetail powder. 2. Mix a half teaspoon in a glass of water every day. 3. Do it for about ten days then take a break for a few days. 4. Repeat the pattern as necessary. For more information about horsetail go to thegrownetwork.com and search for “horsetail.”

    Sometimes I think I'm still 21

Sometimes I think I'm still 21. Like a couple of days ago when I got on a trampoline... Also in this episode, get an earful from my kids. They talk about animals, weapons made from duct tape, and their favorite ice cream.  But don't ask me which flavor ice cream is my favorite. That would be like asking me which of my five children is my favorite.

    Miracle Mosquito Mist

Lucy co-hosts in this episode and we talk about insect repellent, cover crops, a new employee, and medieval weapons.

Why I strapped onions to my ears

We hope all who are listening stayed safe during Hurricane Laura and are recovering from any damage. We had a little bit of crop loss here on the farm but otherwise we’re fine. This week I talk about why I sliced some onions and strapped them onto the side of my head while I was sleeping.

We are now getting about 1/2 gallon of milk per day from our cow and it's gooooood! Want an easy garden crop? Try potatoes. All the details in this episode.

    Intro and A Baby Cow!

We've been doing weekly emails for a while now, but it's time to add audio to the game! Introducing a weekly podcast featuring farm stories, an inside look at upcoming harvests, plus gardening and homesteading tips. In this first episode we talk about what it was like having a new calf born on the homestead, what the crops are doing in this continuing hot weather, and we answer some gardening questions sent in by one of our Fall Gardening Workshop guests.
