Stop Locking In. Start Sustaining. | The Seasonal Shift, Ep. 1

Welcome to The Seasonal Shift: a new solo series that drops 4x a year to mark the move into a new calendar season. Access full show notes here: www.estyubuntu.com/blog/stop-locking-in-start-sustaining-your-shifts This first episode was inspired by a Monday morning meetup. Esty's friend Tameika is running a Consistency Challenge (workouts, meal prep, mindset) and during a group check-in, one woman named Portia rated herself a 9 out of 10. Everyone else (including Esty)? Fives and sixes. The reason? Portia set goals she knew were actually achievable. That moment cracked something open, because Esty has literally been teaching this concept for years. It's called the Sustainable Intentions Formula, and this episode is your full introduction. If you've been side-eyeing all the "lock in September" energy and wondering why that approach never sticks for you, this one's for you. ✨ In this episode: The "lock-in season" reframe we all need heading into Q4Why your bare minimum is only half the equation (the bare max matters just as much)How finishing strong determines how you start next timeThe habit-anchoring technique Esty independently discovered (turns out it's in a book she still hasn't read)Human Design, split definition, and why accountability looks different for different peopleEsty's personal sustainable intentions for this season: health, recovery, Bali rainy season, and meal prep 🕐 TIMESTAMPS 0:02 : Welcome to The Seasonal Shift + what this series is about 2:30 : The "lock-in season" reframe 4:59 : Meet Portia: the woman who gave herself a 9 8:58 : Bare Min vs. Bare Max — and why the max is what most people miss 12:45 : Accountability, Human Design split definition, and finding your people 16:59 : Esty's personal seasonal intentions: health, recovery, Bali rainy season, meal prep 21:24 : Closing + sneak peek at next season: Unlocking Magic 📝 THE 7-STEP SUSTAINABLE INTENTIONS FORMULA 01 · Core Values (Pillars) : anchor your goals to what actually matters to you 02 · Intention : name the real shift you're trying to make 03 · Bare Min + Bare Max : set a floor AND a ceiling for sustainability 04 · Time : decide how long you'll experiment before evaluating 05 · Anchor : attach the new habit to something you already do 06 · Permission Slip : name your obstacles and give yourself permission to do it imperfectly 07 · Accountability + Celebrate : find your people and plan your treat-yourself reward 🎁 DOWNLOAD THE FREE 1-PAGER Use the Sustainable Intentions Formula yourself: grab the free worksheet at: Sustainable Intentions Formula Worksheet 👩🏽‍🏫 ACCESS THE FULL WORKSHOP REPLAY this self-paced workshop with a full workbook will support you to make sustainable shifts in every new season. Unlocking Wellness Series: Emotional Resilience with Nicola Unite

Welcome back to the Unlocking Wellness series, where we dive into what it really means to return to wholeness, one breath, one choice, one breakthrough at a time. In today’s episode, I have the deep honor of sitting down with someone I’ve not only worked alongside but deeply admire, Nicola Unite. Nicola and I once co-led the Middle School at Green School Bali, and even back then, her intuitive ability to hold space, guide with compassion, and ask just the right question stood out. Now, she’s taken that same grounded presence into her work as a qualified psychotherapist, breathwork facilitator, and the founder of The Unite Space. Through a unique blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and Conscious Connected Breathwork, Nicola offers a powerful healing container for young people, adults, and families navigating transitions, trauma, and self-discovery. In this conversation, we explore how Nicola weaves mind, body, and spirit into every session, how breath can be a gateway to deep release, and how schools and families can better support emotional resilience. Whether you're a parent, a healer, or simply on your own journey of reconnection, this episode will remind you of what becomes possible when we pause… and breathe. So take a moment to ground yourself , and let’s unlock wellness, together. Enjoy listening, souls!
