    Vikings Postgame Report: The Minnesota Vikings Defeat The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-16 At Raymond James Stadium, Improve To 3-0 - WK 3

    Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-16 on Sunday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium.  The Vikings jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and ran out the lead wire-to-wire in the game. Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray led the offense and finished the game 15-of-29 for 168 yards passing, a passing touchdown and an interception. Running back Aaron Jones Sr. led the rushing attack with 17 carries for 58 yards. Wide receiver Jordan Addison stepped up and led the receiving corps with 5 receptions for 90 yards which included a 41-yard touchdown reception in the 2nd quarter. Kicker Will Reichard was perfect yet again, finishing the contest 3-of-3 in field goals and converting 2 extra points. Defensively, the guys played another incredible game. The team sacked Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield six times, including: 1.5 sacks by linebackers Kyle Van Noy and Eric Wilson, 1 sack by linebacker Blake Cashman and safety Josh Metellus, and outside linebacker Dallas Turner, linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, and linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. all had half-a-sack in the game. Van Ginkel and cornerback Isaiah Rodgers both recorded interceptions deep in the 4th quarter, including Rodgers's game-sealing grab at the whistle.     Vikings Postgame Report: The Minnesota Vikings Defeat The Chicago Bears 9-3 At Soldier Field, Improve To 2-0 - WK 2

    Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears 9-3 on Sunday afternoon at a rainy Soldier Field. The conditions were tough all day, but the Vikings stepped up in all phases of the game. Running back Aaron Jones Sr. led the way for the Vikings offense with 23 carries for 105 yards on the ground.  Quarterback Carson Wentz went 11-of-20 for 143 yards passing, including 55 yards to wide receiver Justin Jefferson and 29 yards to tight end T.J. Hockenson.  Jefferson and Hockenson led the receiving corps for the Vikings with 3 receptions each on the day. Defensively, the Vikings squad made the best of the terrible field conditions and capitalized with interceptions and turnovers. Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. had an interception on Caleb Williams in the 1st quarter to help stifle the Bears momentum.  Linebacker Blake Cashman led the team with 10 tackles and one sack, outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel also contributed a sack and outside linebacker Dallas Turner finished with two sacks, including the game sealing play. Cornerback Isaiah Rodgers had a big game, including 4 tackles, a fumble recovery and a blocked field goal in the 4th quarter. Kicker Will Reichard did all the scoring for the Vikings, drilling 3 field goals of 35, 39, and 49 yards in the contest.     Vikings Postgame Report: The Minnesota Vikings Defeat the Green Bay Packers 39-22 In Week 1 At U.S. Bank Stadium - WK 1

    Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 39-22 on Sunday afternoon.  Quarterback Kyler Murray opened the game for the Vikings but suffered an injury in the 1st quarter and quarterback Carson Wentz stepped in for the rest of the contest. The Vikings found themselves down 22-10 into the 3rd quarter, but that is when they went to work. The Vikings scored the final 29 points of the game, including rushing touchdowns by running backs Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones Sr. and receiving touchdowns by TE T.J. Hockenson and WR Justin Jefferson. Carson finished the game 12-of-19 for 133 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. Running back Jordan Mason led the team with 59 yards on the ground, including his 1 yd TD rush after a fumble recovery by LB Andrew Van Ginkel.  Wide receiver Justin Jefferson led the team with 8 receptions for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns on the day.  Justin tied wide receiver Randy Moss for #2 all time in receptions by a Viking receiver with 587 in his career. Kicker Will Reichard was perfect on the day with 1 field goal and 4 extra points converted. Defensively, the squad buckled down in the second half and forced some critical turnovers and stops that got the ball back to the offense which led to points.  The team notched 4 sacks on the day, including DL Levi Drake Rodriguez, Edge Dallas Turner, .5 sack by LB Blake Cashman, and 1.5 sacks by LB Andrew Van Ginkel which included his forced fumble.     Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Defeat The New York Giants 13-10 To Open The 2026 Preseason - Preseason Wk 1

    Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report.  The Minnesota Vikings defeated the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Quarterback Kyler Murray opened the game for the Vikings on the opening drive and led the Offense into the Red Zone where Kicker Will Reichard converted a 35-yard field goal. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy came in with the #2’s and finished the day 4-of-7 for 34 passing yards. Quarterback Carson Wentz finished out the game throwing 9-of-14 for 81 yards and a touchdown to WR Myles Price. Myles led the team in receiving with 4 catches for 51 yards. Rookie running back Demond Claiborne led the rushing attack with 34 yards on 12 carries. Defensively, OLB Dallas Turner, S Jay Ward, DL Elijah Williams and LB Bo Richter all recorded sacks in the game. LB Jacob Roberts and S Jacob Thomas snagged interceptions.     Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Defeat The Packers 16-3, Finish The Season 9-8 - Wk 18

    Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report presented by Lumen - The trusted network of A.I. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 16-3 at U.S. Bank Stadium to finish out their 2025 season. The Vikings closed out strong by hitting some milestones in the game and a couple of key members of the team received their flowers at the end of the game. Quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy and Max Brosmer both played for a half in the game, with McCarthy starting out the contest. J.J. finished the game 14-of-23 for 182 yards passing and added 7 yards on the ground. Brosmer finished the game 7-of-8 for 57 yards passing. Running back Jordan Mason led the Vikings with 94 yards on the ground, but 9 year veteran C.J. Ham scored the lone touchdown for the Vikings and added another 6 yards through the air. Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson finished his 2025 season on a high note: Justin finished the game with 8 receptions for 101 yards in the game. That pushed Justin over the 1,000 yard mark for the season and made him the 3rd player ever to finish that milestone in their first 6 seasons. Kicker Will Reichard finished the game perfect once again, converting 3 FG's and 1 XP in the contest. Defensively, they once again pitched a touchdown shutout down the stretch, only giving up a single field goal with 0:01 second left in the game. The crew finished the game with 4 sacks, including Linebacker Dallas Turner with two, Safety Theo Jackson with one, and Linebacker Blake Cashman with the other. Linebacker Eric Wilson led the team with 9 tackles on the day. Both Harrison Smith and C.J. Ham got standing ovations as they walked off the field at the end of the game.     Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Defeat The Lions 23-10 On Christmas Day, Improve to 8-8 On The Season - Wk 17

    Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report presented by Lumen - The trusted network of A.I. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Detroit Lions 23-10 on Christmas Day at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings Defense had a field day, feasting on Lions turnovers. The Vikings Defense sacked Jared Goff 5 times in the game, recovered 4 fumbles, and picked off 2 of his passes. Linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel led the team with 1.5 sacks while Safety Theo Jackson, Safety Harrison Smith and Linebacker Blake Cashman all notched one, and Linebacker Dallas Turner finished out the game with a half-sack of his own. Van Ginkel also recovered 2 fumbles, Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. recovered 1, and Defensive Tackle Jalen Redmond recovered the other.  Both Byron Murphy Jr. and Harrison Smith also grabbed interceptions off Goff in the game. Smith’s sack and interceptions put him into an elite NFL group: he’s only the 2nd player in NFL history to record at least 38 interceptions and 21.5 sacks. Linebacker Blake Cashman led the team with 17 tackles. Quarterback Max Brosmer finished the game 9-of-16 for 51 yards passing and added 16 yards on the ground. Wide Receiver Jordan Addison led the team with a 65-yard touchdown run to seal the game in the 4th quarter. Running back Aaron Jones Sr. also added 53 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson led the team with 4 receptions for 30 yards. Jefferson passed Randy Moss for most receiving yards in the first 6 years of a career. Kicker Will Reichard finished the game perfect again, converting kicks of 42, 52 and 56 yards respectively and added in two XP’s.
