I initially cherry-picked episodes based on which game I was interested in learning about, but soon fell in love with the show and had to go back and listen to every episode from the beginning. Now I look forward to getting my fix every Monday when each new episode drops!
The topics are entertaining, the format is fantastic, the discussion is insightful, and the hosts are phenomenal: kind, inclusive, socially conscious, and super fun! You can tell that in addition to being great podcast hosts, they are also just genuinely good people, and that makes it even more enjoyable to listen to them and engage with them on social media. I appreciate their ability to offer honest reflections while staying positive and respectful.
Even after becoming familiar with the general game style preferences of each host, each episode manages to build some suspense! The “would you ask to play this game again” segment often springs little surprises, and is so helpful in evaluating whether or not a particular game may be a hit with my family.
