As a performer, Melanie Rice currently leads her own 10 piece dance band and her own Jazz Quartet. On the concert stage, she has opened for headliners such as Smokey Robinson, Joan Rivers and David Brenner, as well as worked as a back-up vocalist with Jazz Great Grover Washington, Jr., Joe Piscopo and Bobby Rydell. She has also recorded & released a romantic CD with Grammy nominated Jazz pianist George Mesterhazy entitled “He Loves, She Loves” and her latest CD is titled “This Love of Mine” and features several world class musicians – Dean Schneider (piano), Tim Lekan (upright bass) and Bob Shomo (drums). Both CDs are available on iTunes and Amazon. In 2008, Melanie founded MRE Talent Management, an artist management company through which she manages several emerging & established artists in the music, television and film industries. She’s the co-producer of The Miss’d America Pageant AND The Hansen House Concert – “Street Life”.
