    Stub Me Down Season 7 Episode 05: Call to the Post

    In what is more of a rarity these days, Skinny and JW settled into the OG format of Stub Me Down Podcast S7 E5, with JW pulling a stub from his first Phish show in 1998. An incredible setlist (that he knew nothing about in the moment) set the stage for an all-consuming and lifetime obsession. Skinny has heard these stories before, but supposedly did some research on a couple of tunes anyway! Perhaps this episode will bode well for a Phish return to Columbia, Maryland this summer.     It's too late to say Happy New Year, but we are happy about part two of our conversation with comedian and writer/producer of Impractical Jokers Mike Finoia! Mike takes JW and Skinny on a trip to Phish's New Year's Eve show from the Fleet Center in 1996. Mike chats with the dudes about his experience as a young fan, dancing his ass off in the fifth row, and how much Phish changed his musical journey.     Stub Me Down wraps up their time as the official podcast of Oktoberfest at The Vortex with episode 2 of season 7. SMD was the official podcast of Oktoberfest at The Vortex, a new venue in Catonsville, MD, and we kick things off with a really cool conversation with Ricky James and Rob Compa from Neighbor, a Boston band making a lot of noise in the jam scene! Oktoberfest at The Vortex, a new outdoor venue in Catonsville, Maryland, included some rather talented fresh young acts, including Runner & Bobby, a four-piece from Chicago with an indie vibe. Not quite in the jamband realm, Runner & Bobby drew some improvisational inspiration from the other acts and filled a tough spot in between Neighbor and Dogs in a Pile.
