    This week, Roukaya shares new music from Kiss Facility’s latest album, KHANZA, alongside tracks from 3Phaz (EGY) and DJ Haram, (US) both currently on tour.The show also takes a closer look at Egypt’s Mahraganat/Shaabi music - a sound that continues to shape global contemporary club music. Artists like ZULI, ABADIR, and Hassan Abou Alam are pushing it forward, building on foundations laid by icons such as Ahmed Adaweya and Hakim, whose classics we revisit.We close the show with current Mahraganat and Shaabi favorites from Mohamed Ramadan and Hamada Helal.

    We’re really excited for our show today with Lorena Walker @dj_lore85 who will be introducing us to some of her favourite Black First Nation music.Lorena Walker is a proud Arrente and Luritja women born and raised in (Mparntwe) Alice Springs. Lorena has had previous roles working with different organisations in Central Australia but found her interest working in Aboriginal Media working as a Broadcaster with CAAMA Radio, TV programmer at ICTV before moving to Melbourne and working at 3KND Radio @3kndradio . Lorena now works at VALS in the Community Engagement Team providing Legal Education to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state.Working in radio and taking an interest in DJing and music and loves neo soul, hip hop, rap, Reggae, rnb, and black First Nations artists.

    We have a sillysexy little show lined up today! our extremly hot and talented friend DJ/producer Fadi aka @kaurasi_ is joining host @roukayahs in the studio for some chats about rave culture, the summer that won’t come, EDM that makes you bellydance and cackle, interwoven with sounds that have shaped his devotion for making and curating music, including stories from mama and teta +++ a special mix made just for Salaam that we’ll be playing in the second half of the show (صحتين)Kaurasi is a Palestinian–Rotuman DJ/producer, part of Cadence collective. With a sound influenced by old-school rave culture, his percussive electronic sets braid trance with global sounds, speckled with pop flashes that can only be described as straight up c*nt!
