While it is Yet Today

In “While it is Yet Today” S5 / E62 of I Took a Right Turn: Speaking of the weather in the weather in the Promised Land we wonder why two weeks ago it was catastrophic “HEAT DOME!!!!” and this week it's hotter than it was then and it's just summer weather. We give praise for Rosalie's continued recovery. We also remind people they can send their prayer requests to us through our website. The musical portion of this podcast begins with an old song that speaks of praising God during trials without ever saying those words, We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise. Then comes another old song that we learned from two steadfast believers from the Hills of Missouri, It's a New Wine. Next, is a song that we pray everyone who ever listens to this podcast can one day sing in truth, I've Been Redeemed. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that relates to the sorrow we would feel if we missed our chance: The Nashville Gospel. Looking into God's Holy Word we turn to Hebrews 3:12-14 and see that God is always calling us today for everyday is today. We look at its implications and ask everyone to consider how this relates to their own life. Seek God / Find God

In “Seek God / Find God” S5 / E61 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up talking about Rosalie's healing and how in less than three weeks since brain surgery she's back doing her chores around the Villa. We move on to our comments on the weather here in the Promised Land, we've had extreme heat and extreme rain. We talk about praying for the lost and allowing God to guide into a deeper relationship with Him. We ask for prayers and remind people they can send their prayer requests to us. Our musical portion of the podcast begins with a song we learned from R. W. Shambach one of the best and last of the big-time tent revival preachers. It's an old song that has blessed generations of believers and led multitudes to Christ, Jesus on the Mainline. It is also the number one requested song at Bethel Mission where minister. Next a song by Pop Wynans, the father of BB and CC Wynans it's a song he wrote back during the days of the great trains that one crisscrossed America, This Train. Then comes a song that came to us just one time from the Ozark Mountains, I'm Blessed. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that God gave me as I was driving home from a service at the Mission, Revival at Bethel. Looking into God's Holy Word we turn to James 4:7-10 looking into our walk with God, is it all that it should be? Pour On The Blessings

In “Pour on the Blessings” S5 / E60 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up praising God for the successful outcome of Rosalie's operation. We thank everyone for their prayers and support as we have followed God through these last few years. Rosalie is getting stronger every day and will soon be back to full health. Our musical portion of the podcast reflects the fact that this week is the 250th birthday of the United States. We begin with God Bless America, a song which we have always believed should be our national anthem. Next, an old song that comes from what Historians call the Civil War. A war that tore the United States apart and in which more American died than in all the other wars combined. This song was a marching song for the Union Armies and for many years the theme song of the Republican Party, The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Then we share a song that is always special to us because it was the favorite song of one of our mentors, Pastor Raymond Flemmons; I've Got a Feeling. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs: The Book, the Blood, and the Blessed Hope. We move on to the “A Miracle Moment,” we share an ongoing miracle. As we've mentioned before Robert has been writing songs for over sixty years. Back in the 60s and 70s he tried to make it in the music business, but it never worked out. Then when he got saved, he put that life behind him and for the last 40+ years he has played exclusively in churches and revivals with Rosalie. But with the advent of AI he has learned to create his songs the way they've always sounded in his head. And the first song will be released on Spotify and all streaming platforms this July 4th. Use Freedom Well

In “Use Freedom Well” S5 / E59 of I Took a Right Turn: Once we finish our usual comments on the weather in the Promised Land and move on to speaking about the freedom we have in the Lord and how we need to use that freedom to honor, serve, and glorify Him. I Have Decided

Some days I wake up singing it and then plays in my conscious all day. Then comes an old song that speaks about how we should live our life in Christ if we want to experience His power, it's an old song from the tent revival days, I'm Going on With My Jesus Just the Same. Next is a song by Amy Grant, I Have Decided. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that speaks of the fact that God is still active in the world and in our lives: The Voice. Looking into God's Holy Word we turn to Job 42:1-6 and look at how Job reacted to his afflictions and how God showed Him who was really in charge.
