I have a young son on the spectrum. He is 11. He was diagnosed at age four. I was recently looking for podcast to listen to regarding autism and came up upon this one. One of the first sentences that this lady says is that she wanted to talk about autism as a mental disorder. I shut it off right there. Her use of the word autistic is wrong and it was immediately apparent that this lady has no idea what she’s talking about. IF you want to learn about this individuals ignorance and her uneducated opinion by all means listen but for those who are looking for something to help or to learn, look elsewhere. I’m surprised she has not been taken down yet.
