    005: Healthy Ways to Argue with Your Partner

    Live Turned On isn't all sunny days, it's ALSO about harvesting from the challenging times - SO MUCH TO LEARN from the challenging moments Arguing is healthy as negative emotions are valuable to give you a strong and healthy relationship The more turned on you are to yourself, the BETTER you can communicate with your partner Importance of Respect If you're yelling at your partner, that is not an experience of respect Take a breath and re-align and if you can't....     👇 Get/ Give Space Find a way to get distance, ask for time out, don't just storm out Emailing vs. talking in person... to give pause and response and be able to say ALL that you wanted to say Suzy Batiz - Feeling the feelings P***Y Book - Swamping, demonstrating on the outside how you feel like on the inside "The Hungry Ghost" what the buddhists call the hungry ghost is the over needful ravenous part of our psyche that demands to be fed. Its alIf we are arguing from this space we will never get our needs meet.    👇 Get curious Look at what could be trigger points and if there is any pattern to when you argue. eg before bed, when you have had a drink Are you having a Trojan horse of an argument.....most of the time there is the initial argument and there is the deeper reason for the exchange. Which may or may not be aware of until a few hours or days after. Giving space allows us to get curious     👇 Reflect Afterwards Once the heated argument is over, a good way to see the gold from the stones is to write down and email each other about what was the main reason, feeling or emotions behind it so you can debrief.
