When A Church Is Given An Open Door This week, Pastor Michael Petillo takes us to the church of Philadelphia in Revelation and reminds us that God's greatest opportunities don't always look like open doors in the natural. More often than not, they look impossible. Through the lives of Joseph, Abraham, David, Jairus, and others, Pastor Michael shows that God often leads His people into situations where the only way forward is faith. The "open door" Jesus promises isn't necessarily an easier path—it's an invitation to trust Him when every natural door seems shut. This is an encouraging message for anyone who feels overlooked, weary, or like they've been faithfully waiting on God without seeing results. If you've been wondering whether God sees your prayers, your obedience, or your perseverance, this sermon is a powerful reminder that He does. He knows your faithfulness, and He may be opening a door that no one else can see. Whether you're believing for a breakthrough, healing, restoration, or simply a deeper walk with Christ, this message will challenge you to step through the door of faith and trust that the God who opens doors is still working—even when the circumstances say otherwise.

Be Careful Not to Give Away What No One Can Take Pastor Michael Petillo | June 14, 2026 In this powerful message from Revelation 3, Pastor Michael Petillo examines Jesus' warning to the church in Sardis—a church that looked alive on the outside but had lost the supernatural life and power of God within. Through the story of Samson, Pastor Michael reveals how the enemy often cannot defeat God's people through direct attacks, so he turns to a more subtle strategy: seduction. Drawing parallels between Samson's compromise with Delilah and the modern church's temptation toward comfort, convenience, and self-centered religion, this message challenges believers to examine whether they are living in the power of the Holy Spirit or simply maintaining the appearance of spiritual life. Samson's strength wasn't taken from him—he gave it away. Likewise, churches and believers today must be careful not to surrender their dependence on God for a version of Christianity that is active but powerless. Pastor Michael calls the church back to the cross, reminding us that true Christianity is not about improving the natural man but allowing Christ to live His supernatural life through us. As Jesus called Sardis to repent and return, this message serves as both a warning and an invitation: God can restore what has been lost when His people once again embrace surrender, prayer, and complete dependence on Him. Whether you're feeling spiritually strong or spiritually dry, this sermon will challenge you to guard what God has entrusted to you and to pursue the life-changing power that only comes through Christ.

Be Careful Which Voice You Marry Pastor Michael Petillo | June 7, 2026 In this powerful message from Revelation 2:18-29, Pastor Michael Petillo examines Jesus' letter to the church in Thyatira and delivers a sobering warning about the voices we allow to shape our beliefs and convictions. At first glance, Thyatira appeared to be a thriving church. Jesus commended them for their love, faith, service, perseverance, and continual growth. Yet despite all these strengths, there was a hidden danger that threatened their spiritual future. The church had tolerated a false voice—symbolized by "Jezebel"—that encouraged compromise with sin and redefined what God had clearly called wrong. Pastor Michael explores how the spirit of Jezebel is not merely about one person, but about any teaching or influence that takes what God calls sinful and reframes it as acceptable, beneficial, or even righteous. Drawing parallels between the ancient city of Thyatira and modern culture, he challenges believers to carefully examine the voices they are listening to through media, social platforms, influencers, and even popular theological movements. The heart of the message centers on a powerful truth: people often seek out voices that affirm what they already want rather than voices that call them to surrender and obedience. Just as King Ahab "married" Jezebel and embraced a voice that justified his rebellion, many believers today can be tempted to embrace teachings that make peace with sin rather than confronting it. But the sermon doesn't end with warning—it ends with hope. Looking to the story of Elijah and ultimately to the cross of Christ, Pastor Michael reminds listeners that the answer to deception is not fear but a deeper revelation of God's character. Jesus willingly stood in the place of sinners and absorbed the judgment we deserved. When we truly understand the goodness of God demonstrated at the cross, we gain the trust necessary to embrace His Word, even when it challenges us. This message is a call to discernment, repentance, and wholehearted devotion to Christ. As believers learn to trust God's heart, they become less vulnerable to compromising voices and more committed to following the truth of His Word. In the end, nothing this world offers is worth trading away the ultimate prize—the Morning Star, Jesus Himself.

We can’t wait to grow in faith with you! When You Hear God's Voice, Respond Right Away to His Invitation Preached by Elder Tim Coen | May 31, 2026 In this powerful message, Elder Tim Coen builds on the themes from the previous week's sermon and challenges believers to examine how they respond when life exposes the gap between what they care about and what they can actually control. Drawing from Proverbs, Hebrews, Philippians, and the life of Jesus, he reminds us that guarding our hearts is not primarily about trying harder, doing more, or protecting ourselves from every threat. It begins with trusting God completely. Tim explores the reality of spiritual warfare, warning against two common mistakes: living in fear of the enemy or dismissing him altogether. While Satan remains active, believers can stand firm because Christ has already secured the victory. The real battle often takes place in the heart, where fear, self-reliance, and doubt compete against faith and trust. Using the illustration of our "circle of ability" and our "circle of care," Tim shows how many of us spend our lives trying to close the gap between the things we care about and the things we can actually fix. We pursue more knowledge, work harder, spread ourselves thinner, or eventually shut down emotionally just to cope with the pressure. Yet none of these strategies can satisfy the deep need God designed us to feel. At the center of the message is a simple but life-changing truth: when the burden feels too heavy, God is inviting us to bring our cares to Him. The discomfort we feel is not evidence that God has abandoned us—it is an invitation to trust the One whose ability and care are limitless. The critical moment comes when we must choose whether to believe God's goodness or the enemy's lies. Looking to Jesus as our example, Tim highlights how Christ faced the greatest burden imaginable yet responded with complete dependence on His Father. Through prayer, surrender, and obedience, Jesus demonstrated what it looks like to trust God fully. His death and resurrection forever prove the Father's goodness and faithfulness. The challenge for every believer is clear: when God speaks, respond immediately. Don't harden your heart. Bring your worries, fears, and burdens to Him in prayer. Trust that He is near, that He cares, and that nothing can separate you from His love. As we learn to respond to His invitation right away, we discover the peace, rest, and freedom that only Christ can give. Join us as we explore what it means to stop striving, stop protecting ourselves, and start trusting the God whose love and power are greater than every burden we carry.

Sunday Sermon | Pastor Michael Petillo | 5.24.26

Pastor Michael Petillo’s message “The Battle for the Throne” focused on the spiritual battle taking place in every believer’s heart — a battle over who will reign on the throne of our lives. Using Isaiah 7, he unpacked how the attack against Jerusalem was ultimately a picture of Satan’s attempt to remove Christ from His rightful place in us. Even though fear, temptation, anxiety, lust, hopelessness, and distraction constantly assault believers through modern culture and spiritual warfare, God’s promise remains the same: the enemy cannot overthrow what Christ has established. The sermon emphasized that Satan’s goal has always been to replace the rule of Jesus with another “king” — fear instead of peace, depression instead of joy, selfishness instead of surrender, hopelessness instead of faith. Pastor Michael explained that the “burned-out embers” in Isaiah represent defeated spiritual forces that appear intimidating but ultimately have no power to destroy God’s purposes. Like King Ahaz, believers are often tempted to trust in human solutions, self-effort, or worldly systems instead of resting in God’s promises and fighting the battle through faith. At the center of the message was the prophecy of Immanuel — “God with us.” Pastor Michael reminded the church that the victory over sin and spiritual oppression is not found in human strength, discipline, or religious performance, but in Christ Himself living within us through the Holy Spirit. Because Jesus came, lived perfectly, died for our sins, and established a New Covenant, believers now have a new nature empowered by God’s Spirit. The Christian life is not about trying harder; it is about trusting deeper in the One who already won the battle. The message closed with encouragement for believers who feel weary in the fight. Pastor Michael stressed that sanctification is often a slow battle, but the very fact that a believer continues fighting against sin is evidence that God’s life is active within them. He outlined three evidences of genuine faith: a growing desire for prayer and intimacy with God, obedience to the Spirit’s prompting, and running toward God instead of hiding after failure. Ultimately, “The Battle for the Throne” was a call to reject fear and self-reliance, stand firm in faith, and trust that Christ in us is greater than every force trying to dethrone Him.

"You Got the House… But Where’s the Water" Pastor Michael Petillo delivers a powerful Graduation Sunday message centered on a simple but life-changing truth: you can have all the outward ingredients for success and still be missing the one thing that truly gives life. Preaching from Book of Judges 1:11-15, he unpacks the story of Acsah asking her father Caleb not just for land, but for “springs of water.” While the land represented opportunity, provision, and a future, the springs represented something deeper — the life and presence of God through the Holy Spirit. Speaking directly to graduates stepping into new seasons of adulthood, Pastor Michael reminds listeners that careers, degrees, relationships, and accomplishments can never fully satisfy the human soul. Without the “springs,” even good gifts eventually become dry. The message challenges young people to seek God’s presence above everything else as they step into college, careers, ministry, marriage, and the unknowns of the future. The sermon then outlines three practical ways believers can keep the Holy Spirit at the center of their lives: Stay connected to the people of God through committed church community and fellowship.Devour the Word of God daily so the Holy Spirit has truth to strengthen and guide you with.Stay present with God instead of living consumed by fear and anxiety about the future.Drawing from Book of Acts, Gospel of Matthew, and Book of Isaiah, the message encourages graduates to trust that God’s grace meets them one day at a time. Pastor Michael reminds listeners that transition seasons often feel uncomfortable and uncertain, but if they remain close to Jesus, rooted in Scripture, and connected to the church, God can transform even desert seasons into “pools of living water.” This encouraging and deeply practical message is a reminder for graduates and believers alike that success without the presence of God will always leave the soul thirsty — but life with the Holy Spirit brings peace, strength, purpose, and lasting joy.

We can’t wait to grow in faith with you! On Mother’s Day 2026, Pastor Billy Coker shared a powerful message titled “Clinging to a Mother’s Love,” walking through the story of Naomi and Ruth in the book of Ruth.  Set during one of Israel’s darkest seasons, Pastor Billy described Ruth as a story of both faith and famine—a reminder that while people often try to fix the famine around them, God is ultimately calling them to restore their faith. Naomi’s family left the land of promise searching for provision in Moab, but instead experienced devastating loss. After losing her husband and sons, Naomi returned home feeling empty, bitter, and convinced she had failed. The message focused deeply on the burden of “mom guilt.” Naomi believed she had nothing left to offer her daughters-in-law and encouraged them to return to their old lives. Pastor Billy connected this struggle to the pressures many mothers carry today: wondering if they’ve done enough, given enough, taught enough, or failed their children along the way. Yet he reminded the church that true security is not found in performance, but in first being secure as daughters of Christ.  Even in Naomi’s despair, Ruth saw something worth clinging to. Though Naomi felt broken, the testimony of God still rested on her life. Ruth wasn’t drawn to Naomi’s circumstances—she was drawn to the presence of God she could still see within her. Pastor Billy emphasized that even when believers feel spiritually empty, God’s fragrance and faithfulness still shine through their lives. The sermon also highlighted the tender heart of God revealed through a mother’s love. From Isaiah’s promise that God comforts His people like a mother, to Jesus caring for His own mother while hanging on the cross, Scripture reveals the compassion and nurturing nature of God through motherhood. Pastor Billy reminded the church that while fathers carry a unique calling, there are places in the human heart that only a mother’s love can reach.  The message closed with encouragement for every mother carrying disappointment, exhaustion, or insecurity: God still sees you, still honors you, and still uses your life as a testimony to others. Even in seasons of famine, there can still be a harvest growing within.
