    House of Terrors (1965)

We're going full October vibes with a gothic horror from Japan inspired by Mario Bava and Robert Wise. House of Terrors, aka Ghost of the Hunchback aka Pit of Satan aka The Well of Satan, has all the elements you could ask for in a haunted house film, but with a few cultural substitutes. Available from retail sites and directly from Mondo Macabro: https://mondomacabro.bigcartel.com/product/house-of-terrors-retail-edition Horror Gives Back 2026 ends soon! Aroused (1966)

Correction: director Anton Holden did not pass away in 2013. He is alive and kicking as of this recording. Do we make you horny, baby? Okay, but don't make it weird (unless it's Something Weird). This month we're discussing a standout amongst the hundreds of New York-based sexploitation films from the 1960s, Anton Holden's sex thriller Aroused. Lance found some great details about the people involved with th film, and we make our gueesses about whether or not Bill Lustig saw this before making Maniac. Night of the Zodiac (2022)

What's this? Unsung Horrors is covering a movie made this century? This DECADE? Well, if you've seen it, then you know why it was picked. Made with the exact same equipment, gusto, love, and makeshift gore as SOV movies of the 80s and 90s, Susana Kapostasy's films are a breath of fresh to anyone who loves films of this era (and who are purveyors of filth, like us!) It's available to watch on Tubi, but it if you have the means, we highly recommend picking up the disc from SRS cinema. The Machine (1994)

After a much needed break we return only to spend almost half the episode being grossed out by the lead actor. Despite this, GD's gives his performance in The Machine as much as he gave to any role for which he won an award. Lots of body swap talk and Lance death-shaming. We're back, baby!  Links to the blu-rays discussed in the episode Pre-order The Reincarnation of Golden Lotus: https://diabolikdvd.com/product/an-amorous-woman-of-tang-dynasty-the-reincarnation-of-golden-lotus-imprint-asia-le-hardbox-blu-ray-all-region-preorder/ Pre-Order The Nine Demons: https://diabolikdvd.com/product/the-nine-demons-visual-vengeance-blu-ray-all-region-preorder/ Shaw Scares Vol 1: https://vinegarsyndrome.com/products/shaw-scares-volume-1?_pos=1&_psq=shaw+scar&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Made in Hong Kong Vol 2: https://vinegarsyndrome.com/products/made-in-hong-kong-volume-2?_pos=1&_psq=made+in+hong&_ss=e&_v=1.0 The Mike Diana Film Collection: https://vinegarsyndrome.com/products/the-mike-diana-film-collection?_pos=4&_sid=00b67acdd&_ss=r or https://testpress.net/product/mike-diana-film-collection-bluray-signed/ or https://www.factorytwentyfive.com/shop/mike-diana Disembodied: https://vinegarsyndrome.com/products/disembodied?_pos=1&_psq=disembodied&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Join our discord! https://discord.gg/F8WsTzE9qtFollow this podcast on Instagram @unsunghorrorsFollow Lance on Instagram and Letterboxd @lschibiLance’s shop: https://lanceschibi.bigcartel.com/Follow Erica on Letterboxd or Instagram @hexmassacreLogo by Cody SchibiPart of Someone’s Favorite Productions Podcast Network:  https://linktr.ee/someonesfavoriteproductionsNext episode: https://m.ok.ru/video/2517215546022

End of Year: 2025 Letterboxd Stats & 2026 Film Resolutions

We're closing out 2025 with a review of our Letterboxd stats and then doing something a little different: instead of looking back and discussing favorite new-to-me watches (most of which we would have already discussed in other episodes), this year we look forward to 2026 and share what our film-watching resolutions are.
