The Goods is a new film podcast that surprisingly avoids a lot of the pitfalls that new podcasts fall into. First of all the audio is very high quality, especially in the newer episodes. But even in the first few episodes, there is very little background noise (something I am particularly sensitive to) and the hosts come through crisp and clear. The Goods also avoids the common problem of trying to imitate other more succesful podcasts. From the unique rating system they use, to the movies they choose to review, you can tell Brian and Dan are really trying to do their own thing here, and in my opinion it works. I also really appreciate the lack of filler in each episode. Each one is between an hour to an hour and half, but they feel much shorter. They're consistently entertaining and it never feels like the hosts are belaboring a point. Also, no ads whatsoever. Definetely check it out if you're a movie lover.
