God Handed a Key to a Fallen Star. Why?

Revelation 9 opens with a disturbing scene: a star falls from heaven, and to this fallen being is given the key to the bottomless pit. Why would a fallen star be given access to a place God had shut up? What came out when the pit was opened? And why were the strange locust-like beings that emerged forbidden to touch grass, trees, or anything green, yet permitted to torment men? In this episode, Pastor Bo looks closely at the language of Revelation 9: the fallen star, the key, the abyss, the smoke, the locusts, the scorpion-like power, the limits placed on them, and the authority behind their release. The closer you look, the stranger the passage becomes. These are not ordinary locusts. They do not behave like ordinary locusts. John describes beings that look like horses prepared for battle, wear crowns like gold, and are sent after people rather than vegetation. What exactly was John seeing? And what does this passage reveal about spiritual realities beyond what the natural eye can see? Revelation 9 may be saying far more than many believers have stopped to consider. The Bedtime Rule That Outlived My Mother

Every night before bed, my mother made us read a Psalm. No exceptions. Decades after she passed, I'm still living off that inheritance. In this episode, I share how a childhood bedtime discipline became muscle memory for my soul, a discipline for my siblings and me, and a reflex that showed up at hospital bedsides, in moments of grief, and in decisions that could've gone either way. I unpack Philippians 4:9 and 2 Timothy 1:5 to show why what we deposit in our children matters more than what we explain to them. If someone poured Scripture into you before you knew you'd need it, this one's for you. Read the full article at cryoutreach.org/bosvoice

Is Restitution Required for Salvation? What the New Testament Actually Says

There is a belief circulating in many Christian circles, sometimes as a quiet assumption, sometimes as a bold declaration, at other times as a doctrinal teaching, that a person cannot be truly saved without first making restitution for wrongs they have committed. Pay back what you stole. Restore what you damaged. Correct what you wronged. Otherwise, you cannot be truly saved, and God may not receive you. It sounds holy. It sounds responsible. It even sounds biblical But is it the gospel? In this short episode, I take you on a journey to examine the story of Zacchaeus, the most-cited proof text for restitution, and reveal that, when read carefully, it proves the exact opposite of what most people assume. This is Part 1 of 2 in the series. To get a hold of the full article, go to my main article link below. Is Restitution Required for Salvation? Subscribe to get notice of each weekly article.

You Think You're Serving God. You May Be Serving Yourself.

Some people wonder why God did not give them a one-way ticket straight to heaven the moment they give their lives to Christ to avoid the risk of falling away. Understand that the moment you gave your life to Christ, you are already deployed. Jesus said in Luke 19:13, “Occupy till I come.” Paul gave that command practical shape in Romans 12:11: “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” and the three things God requires of every redeemed life: vocation, devotion, and service to humanity. Why does God leave believers on earth after salvation? What does your work say about your witness? Can spiritual activity replace true devotion? And can anyone truly serve God while ignoring people? This is a three-part message and calls believers to examine what actually counts before God and also the balance between diligence in work, fervency in spirit, and genuine service to others. Key Scriptures: Romans 12:11, Luke 19, James 1:27, Matthew 5:16, Proverbs 22:29. To read the full episode, visit my Substack page.

Is Tithing Required For New Testament Christians?

Is tithing required for New Testament Christians, or does it belong to the Old Covenant? In this teaching, Pastor Bo examines the difference between Old Testament tithing and New Testament giving, showing why believers must understand the covenant they are standing in. The issue is not whether Christians should give. New Testament believers are called to give generously, sacrificially, and responsibly to the fellowship and household of faith. But giving under grace is not the same as being placed back under the law. This message challenges the common practice of taking tithing from the Old Covenant while ignoring the rest of the law. If Christ has finished the work, then believers must learn to walk fully in the New Covenant, led by the Holy Spirit, not by selective religious obligation. In this teaching, you will hear about: New Testament givingThe difference between tithe and generosityWhy the early church gave beyond percentagesThe danger of mixing law and graceAnanias and Sapphira and the issue of dishonest givingWhy Christians must understand covenant identityWatch till the end and examine this carefully through Scripture. How Your Speech Shapes Your Eternity

How Your Speech Shapes Your Eternity calls Christians out to the profound spiritual significance of words we speak as humans. 1. Every word is recorded in heaven and will be accounted for in judgment. 2. "Idle words" are not merely profanity but also careless, useless, or unkind speech that carries eternal consequences. 3. Words are powerful tools, capable of creating or destroying, reflecting God's own creative power. 4. Mindfulness and intentionality in communication, offering practical advice such as pausing before speaking, praying for guidance, and filtering words through criteria of truth, necessity, and kindness. 5. Use words to speak life and reflect God's love.
