    In Conversation With Hollywood's Matt Graham - Writer And Dive Bar Enthusiast!

    Matt Graham is the writer of Oliver Stone's award winning Showtime / Netflix series, The Untold History of the United States, as well as the upcoming new series "Apollo" - based on the little known real events leading up to the Moon Landing in 1969.  ("The Right Stuff as if told by David Fincher"). He specializes in, as he puts it:  "History told as Crime." Matt's originally from London but now calls Los Angeles his home.  He's the survivor of a plane crash in Panama and a holdup by paramilitaries in Nigeria. He has worked as a crime reporter in South America, as well as a ranch manager in Colorado.  His great passion in life - the search for the sleaziest bars imaginable.  As well as many TV scripts for Hollywood, he's the writer of much published short fiction and a novel, The Night Driver.     Michal Skoda is the Brewery director of Pivovar Proud. Proud is a new microbrewery project within the macro-brewery of Plzensky Prazdroj, the historic Plzen brewery and home of Pilsner Urquell. Michal’s passion is beer, and he has been working in the alcohol industry since he finished at university. Working in the marketing department, Michal has been part of the team who has overseen the rapid expansion of Pilsner Urquell to thirsty pub goers in Romania. This wasn’t enough to quench his thirst for beer. Home-brewing and exploring craft beer in Czech and abroad is his hobby not only his day job. And now he is living his dream becoming a brewery director dedicated to the creating high-quality craft beers. So in the meantime, I thought I would give you an update on my upcoming book and TV drama, Social Media and the Seven Deadly Sins. He has helped transform the Prague district of Smíchov into the Silicone valley start-up centre of Czechia. Since Twenty Eleven Startupyard has accelerated over 70 companies. Many of which have since been acquired, with over THIRTY MILLION EUROS of seed capital raised. The Startupyard program culminates each year with a DemoDay, a public pitching event which is a magnet for influential executives, investors as well as technology and business media. DemoDay is a showcase, and an opportunity for the start-ups to gain investments, engage with the business community, and to pitch their ideas. A live dragons den. It has become so popular that tickets to attend DemoDay sell out within hours of going online. For over 25 years Adrian has been touring the world performing to sell out crowds and gracing the stage of Europe’s alternative theatre scene as well as grand stadiums and concert halls. The Tiger Lillies experience is not for the faint hearted. A show will take you on a wild rollercoaster of emotions from laughs, to tears, insanity to euphoria.The unique sound of Martyn Jacques voice combined with the tight rhythmic bass-lines of Adrians strings make an evening at the theatre a flashback to the true cabaret experiences reminiscent of post war Berlin. Adrian lived and worked in Prague for many years and was a familiar face at the infamous Bukowskis bar to name just one dive bar of most significance.     Aidan Hughes is a world-renowned illustrator and artist. In a career spanning over 40 years, his vector woodcut propaganda-style has made his work much in demand as a commercial artist. Aidan’s work has been exhibited all over the world. His work has stood alongside the likes of BANKSY and Shepherd Fairy and wouldn’t look out of place hanging on the wall of a post-soviet union housing block. Aidan stems from Merseyside in the northwest of the UK where he was born and raised. In the past decade, Aidan settled in the Czech Republic with his wife and two children. I caught up with Aidan in his Prague neighbourhood to discuss art, his career, what he likes to drink as well as the recent publication of his latest book THE COMPLETE BRUTE!
