Codex 4.7 Common Sense by Thomas Paine

Published as a 47-page pamphlet in colonial America on January 10, 1776, Common Sense challenged the authority of the British government and the royal monarchy. The elegantly plain and persuasive language that Thomas Paine used touched the hearts and minds of the average American and was the first work to openly ask for political freedom and independence from Great Britain. Paine’s powerful words came to symbolize the spirit of the Revolution itself. General George Washington had it read to his troops.  Common Sense by Thomas Paine (read by Walter Dixon) at https://amzn.to/3MHAIYr Common Sense by Thomas Paine (book) available at https://amzn.to/3MKX77b Writings of Thomas Paine available at https://amzn.to/3MCaFC2 Books about Thomas Paine available at https://amzn.to/4s3qxOg    ENJOY Ad-Free content, Bonus episodes, and Extra materials when joining our growing community on https://patreon.com/markvinet  SUPPORT this channel by purchasing any product on Amazon using this FREE entry LINK https://amzn.to/3POlrUD (Amazon gives us credit at NO extra charge to you).  Mark Vinet's HISTORICAL JESUS podcast at https://parthenonpodcast.com/historical-jesus Mark's TIMELINE video channel: https://youtube.com/c/TIMELINE_MarkVinet   Website: https://markvinet.com/podcast  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mark.vinet.9 Twitter: https://twitter.com/MarkVinet_HNA  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/denarynovels   Mark's books: https://amzn.to/3k8qrGM Audio credits: Common Sense—The Origin and Design of Government by Thomas Paine, audio recording read by Walter Dixon (Public Domain 2011 Gildan Media).
