I made up the word audioflash to describe what I'm doing here. I'll be posting audio versions of stories I've written over the years. Some are flash length, some will be longer. Most of them can be found in written form on my blog, Writing The Egg. Please to enjoy.

    Episode 3: Matthew 14:19 1/2

This story has been around in several different forms for more than 20 years. This version was created in 2012 for submission to The First Line, a quarterly journal in which each issue contains stories with the same first line. The first line for this particular quarter was, " A light snow was falling as Charlie Reardon left the diner and made his way down Madison Street." I took that and put it together with my old idea and created one of my favorite stories. I hope you like it. For more information about The First Line click over to http://www.thefirstline.com/index.htm

    Episode 2: Everlasting Tunes

For NaNoWriMo in 2016 I wrote my masterpiece, Everlasting Tunes. I started the story originally in 2010 and gave it up. Having finished it, the stuff from 2010 turned out to be largely extraneous, not fitting the new format of the story. I'm reading a couple of those pieces here today. I started NaNoWriMo this year, but didn't make it very far. It's almost over for 2020 but if you're interested, you can find more information about NaNoWriMo at https://nanowrimo.org/ and you can find my profile at https://nanowrimo.org/participants/lewaah.

  3. 11/01/2020

    Episode 1: Possumgeddon

A double-story episode, since it's the first. "For Want of a Pig" and "Burn" are both about my kaiju possum, Possumgeddon. Come thrill to the origin and further adventures of the rampagingest marsupial in South Georgia.

  4. 10/11/2020

    Episode 0: Introduction

An introduction to Reading The Egg. Who am I? Why am I here?
