I developed a fear of flying about 12 years ago after experiencing some turbulence on a flight. I didn’t know why I was so scared afterwards and it’s getting worse over the years. We are planning a vacation and the thought of buying plane tickets kept sending me into anxiety attacks. Tight chest, stomach ache, nausea, worrying and nightmares. One nightmare so bad I was in a constant anxiety attack for a week. I couldn’t talk about flying or have anyone talk to me about it, so I decided I need to figure some way to get over this fear. I used to love to fly before!! Well I found this podcast and started listening while at work especially when I felt the fear and anxiety start to creep in. It also helped me zero in on why my fear started. It was in part due to the turbulence on the flight, but mostly it’s due to the fact that on that flight I was a new mom with a 1yr old! It’s been about a month now of me listening to Paul and his guests and I’m happy to say we booked our tickets and I can feel the excitement about the trip starting to overpower the fear and anxiety I was feeling.
