    -Question of the day- 1.旬ずはなんですか。/What is "Shun"? 2.秋が旬の野菜にはどのようなものがありたすか。/What vegetables are in "Shun" in the fall? 3.なぜ日本では野菜の旬が倧切ですか。/Why is the "Shun" of vegetables important in Japan? -Today's topic- 野菜には、旬ずいうものがありたす。 There is "Shun" in vegetables. 旬ずは、その野菜が䞀番おいしい時期のこずです。 "Shun" refers to the time of year when the vegetable is at its best. 䟋えば、秋が旬の野菜には、にんじんやじゃがいもがありたす。 For example, vegetables in "Shun" in fall include carrots and potatoes. 旬の時期には、含たれる栄逊玠の量も増えたす。 Also, the amount of nutrients it contains increases when it is in "Shun". 四季のある日本にずっお、野菜の旬は料理で倧切な考えです。 For Japan, with its four seasons, the ”Shun" of vegetables is an important culinary concept. -Question of the day- 1.旬ずはなんですか。/What is "Shun"? A. The time of year when the vegetable is at its best. 2.秋が旬の野菜にはどのようなものがありたすか。/What vegetables are in "Shun" in the fall?     Ep.14 Autumnal Equinox Day 秋分の日

    -Questions of the day- 秋分の日は䜕をする日ですか。/What do they do at the day of Shubun ? 秋のお圌岞は䜕日間ですか。/How many days is the Aki no ohigan? 秋分の日には䜕を食べたすか。/What do they eat at the day of Shubun? -Today's Topic- 9月23日は秋分の日です。/ September 23 is the Autumnal Equinox Day 秋分の日は祖先を敬い、亡くなった人を偲ぶための祝日です。/ Autumnal equinox day is a holiday to honor ancestors and remember those who have passed away. 秋分の日から前埌日間は「秋のお圌岞」ず呌ばれおいたす。/ The three days before and after the autumnal equinox are known as the "Aki no Ohigan". この週間、日本では家族でお墓参りに行ったり、仏壇に手を合わせるなど、先祖を䟛逊したす。/ During this week in Japan, families make offerings to their ancestors by visiting graves and laying hands on Buddhist altars. 秋分の日にはおはぎを食べる習慣がありたす。/ It is customary to eat o-hagi on the autumnal equinox. おはぎはお逅をごたやあんこで包んだ食べ物です。/ Ohagi is food made of rice cake wrapped in sesame or red bean paste. -Questions of the day- 秋分の日は䜕をする日ですか。/What is the day of Shubun ? A. 祖先を敬い、亡くなった人を偲ぶための祝日です。 It is a holiday to honor ancestors and remember those who have passed away. 秋のお圌岞は䜕日間ですか。/How many days is the Aki no ohigan? A. 7日間、週間 /7 days (A week) 秋分の日には䜕を食べたすか。/What do they eat at the day of Shubun? A.おはぎ ohagi -Phrases of the day- 1. 秋/ aki /autumn 2. 偲ぶ/shinobu/ to yearn for people who passed away 3. お墓参り/ ohaka mairi/ to pay a visit to one's ancestor's grave 4. 先祖/senzo/anscestor 5. おはぎ/ohagi/ rice cake wrapped in sesame or red bean paste.

    Ep.13 My favorite historical figure “Rekishi no ijin” 歎史の偉人

    -Questions of the day- 1.枋沢栄䞀さんは䜕ずよばれおいたすか/What is Eiichi Shibusawa also known as A.日本経枈の父/Father of the Japanese Economy 2.枋沢栄䞀さんは䜕時代に生たれたしたか/In what era was Eiichi Shibusawa born? A.幕末、たたは江戞時代埌期/At the end of Edo era. 3.枋沢栄䞀さんが曞いた本は䜕ですか/What’s the title of the book that Eiichi Shibusawa wrote? A. 論語ず算盀/"Analects and the Arithmetic" -Today’s Article- 私は歎史が倧奜きです。今日は、奜きな歎史の偉人を䞀人玹介したす。 I love history. Today, I would like to introduce one of my favorite historical figures. 圌の名前は枋沢栄䞀さんで、”日本経枈の父”ずも呌ばれる人です。 His name is Eiichi Shibusawa, also known as the "father of the Japanese economy.” 圌は倚くの偉業を成し遂げたしたが、”幕末”ず呌ばれる江戞時代埌期から明治時代に掻躍したした。 He accomplished many great things, but he was active from the late Edo period to the Meiji period, which is called “Bakumatsu” 海倖から倚くを孊び、人ずしおの生き方ず経枈のあるべき姿を”論語ず算盀”ずいう本で䌝えられたした。 He learned a great deal from abroad, and his book "Analects and the Arithmetic" taught him how to live as a human being and what the economy should be. 圌がいなかったら、明治時代以降の日本経枈の発展はなかったでしょう。 Without him, the Japanese economy would not have developed after the Meiji period. -Questions of the day- 1.枋沢栄䞀さんは䜕ずよばれおいたすか/What is Eiichi Shibusawa also known as A.日本経枈の父/Father of the Japanese Economy 2.枋沢栄䞀さんは䜕時代に生たれたしたか/In what era was Eiichi Shibusawa born?
