What’s my ultimate purpose in life? This seems to be the biggest question we all ask ourselves at some point in life. I believe that purpose for everyone is discovered once you center your life around creating something meaningful and dedicating yourself to love and serve people unconditionally. The point of this podcast is to dive into that philosophy. I have the privilege to sit down and interview those people who have dedicated their lives to loving and serving humanity. We will get the chance to learn from and honor these people but more importantly learn how we can serve each other today

Episodes

  1. 11/04/2020

Episode 2: Bill Ferguson. Episode 3: James Reed pt 2

Due to technical difficulty, episode 2 and 3 got combined into this mashup. In episode 2, I get the honor to sit down with Bill Ferguson, a Vietnam Veteran and learn about some of his stories in the military. We also talked about the disrespect all Vietnam veterans experienced and how we call all give thanks to any veteran with just a simple “Welcome Home Brother” and they’ll understand. In Episode 3, I got to sit down with my grandfather James Reed for the second time and recap our first episode we recorded, the shows pilot episode. We also talked about some of the issues were facing as a nation today. Unfortunately both conversations were cut short due to Anchor only allowing you to record 1 hour segments at a time. But it’s ok, we’re learning more everyday!

  2. 10/19/2020

    Episode 1: James Reed

In this pilot episode of Local Legends I sit down with my main inspiration for this podcast, my grandfather James Reed. He served in the Army in World War 2, immediately started working in the ministry once he was discharged, and went on after that to start a tele-ministry which he still continues to do this day at 93 years old. He has dedicated his entire life to serving God and people all over this world. In this episode we dive into some of his childhood in the 1930’s and what it was like growing up in the Great Depression. We talk about how united and together the American people were, which would carry us through the depression and allow us to ultimately win World War 2. This conversation is the first of many to come.
