#25 Lorilee Binstock- Trauma Survivor Thriver!

This episode features Lorilee Binstock of the Trauma Survivor Thriver's Podcast.  We discuss both her personal experiences and work in the psychedelic assisted therapy space as well as how it relates to her podcast.  Before diving into that, we discuss her background and what led her to therapy and psychedelics in particular.  Also discussed is her work in media and how it led her to podcasting.  We wrap up by talking about what it's like juggling professional endeavors, personal healing and home life.  It's all about balance! In this episode, I talk with Jesse Rennicke of Luck, Wisconsin.  We discuss his ongoing endeavors with BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) & the long history his family has with MMA, his journey of lifelong learning from physics to medicine and studying abroad, what it's like being a young conservative in today's day and much more.  Originally from Comstock, WI, Jesse attended Augsburg college in Minneapolis, MN where he obtained a B.S. in physics in 2016.  Now back in Wisconsin again and working in the medical field, he shares how BJJ and studying abroad have had very large and positive impacts on his life over the last few years.  He also dives into what it's like being a young conservative in today's world and solutions on unifying the country going forward.  If you'd like to follow Jesse's work in MMA or be entertained by his political debates, you can check out his Facebook page here. Official Illuminating Mycelium Podcast Trailer

The Illuminating Mycelium Podcast is all about everyday people.  We share their stories and we learn from them.  We speak with folks just like you: entrepreneurs, photographers, artists, musicians, teachers/educators, active community members, fathers, mothers and so on.  Instead of giving you another mouthpiece about how some famous movie actor is struggling in their 7th home during quarantine baking cookies, we’re hitting you with the stories that matter, from people in your neighborhoods that look just like you.  So come tune in.  We’ll leave you more knowledgeable and inspired in 30 minutes or less.  We....are.....the.......mycelium. Side note: our official trailer features parts of the song "Illumination" by Natural Flavor, which was inspired by the podcast.  Special thanks to Tim, Bri, Cara and Chris for starring in the intro and providing their musical talents to create such a beautiful song.  To hear the song in full, you can skip to the very end of each podcast episode to tune in.  And to learn even more about us, check out our about section on our website here.  You can also subscribe to our newsletter and get weekly updates on all things everyday people by clicking here. #21 Jammin' with Jace Wolffenstreitz

*This episode contains adult themes and languages Jace Wolffenstreitz is an attendant at a local billiard hall and fierce mental health advocate.   Weird combination right?  Anyways, we dive into his background as he reveals to us his most despised city growing up ^_^  Then we touch back and forth on a few different topics (apologies in advance, we both have ADHD lol) including mental health advocacy, coping with emotions, battling, overcoming and managing addiction, managing mental health & behavioral disorders and more.  Oh, did I mention aliens?  Yeah we talk about aliens too.  And whether or not we believe Hillary Clinton eats the faces of little children!  Let us know what you think, we need a larger sample size.  Oh and let us know what you thought about the podcast too.  Send us a voice message, leave a comment or write a review.  All our links are below.
