    Fortune Favours the Well-advised

We hate spending money on things we think we can do ourselves. Maybe you feel that way about appointing a financial advisor to manage your personal assets. Chris Hogan, who is a best-selling author and the host of The Chris Hogan Show, asked the question “Why should you pay a financial advisor when you could manage your money yourself?” People tend to cringe at the fees, or they think they’ll be cutting a check at the first meeting. So, when it comes to investing, some people say, “I can handle it all on my own.” But let me ask you this: “Do you fix your own air conditioner? Build your own computer? Fly your own plane? Yeah, me neither.” The majority of us use a professional. We use a professional because they are more educated and experienced than us in a particular specialist area. The role of a financial advisor, one who draws up your financial freedom blueprint, is often overlooked in a world where fund selection overshadows investment strategy. Listen to Nande Boss, the Communications Manager at GraySwan Investments, tell us why she says fortune favours the well-advised.
