    Many people hear PNF and think "contract relax stretching" or D1 & D2 diagonal movements. That's like hearing the word "Art" and thinking crayons and colored pencils... There is a lot more to it than that. PNF was designed to deliver a rich sensory learning environment to a compromised central nervous system to enhance motor learning. The principles are broken down into 3 sensory categories: visual, auditory, and proprioceptive input. The PNF principles serve as a versatile checklist tool for clinical problem solving. In this episode Mez introduces the macro framework for the basic principles' checklist and dives into the first few checklist times. These basic principles are the foundation of any successful movement approach and can be applied to ANY rehab setting i.e ortho, neuro, pediatrics, sports rehab, and performance.
