Mayra Mateus, also known as Mateus Art, is a Miami-based pop artist and storyteller who was born in Cali, Colombia, in 1995. She discovered her passion for art while working as a cashier at a local pizzeria in 2016. Her creativity sparked when she designed the restaurant's menus, and since then, she has never looked back. Mateus enrolled at Miami Dade College in the same year to formally study art, but she soon realized that the realism-style art taught in school did not fulfill her. After some personal hardships, she dropped out and continued her self-discovery journey. In 2017, Mateus found her artistic home in the vibrant Wynwood neighborhood of Miami, where she resonated with the street and spray-paint style of pop art. Her love for colors, shapes, and stories led her to pursue pop art and professionalize her work. She formed a corporation, brand, and trademark and created a portfolio of various mediums, with a piggy bank character as the center of her brand. Mateus's message is clear: "Saving Dreams." Through her art, she aims to inspire people to pursue their dreams, reminding them that the pursuit of happiness is more important than material wealth. Her passion for pop art continues to grow, and she is making a name for herself in the Miami art scene. In recent years, she's collaborated with brands, including Meta, Puma, Foot Locker, Formula 1, Hugo Boss, Crypto Mining technologies (Bitsive) and became the first latina to collaborate with the French artist, Richard Orlinski.

Living Close to the ocean since 2006, I get the Inspiration, energy, and happiness from there. I see life in Colors, my favorite color is pink. My perfect color combination? The colors of the Sunset, but you will notice my favorite combinations for my art, are with neon colors. Love to paint using modern, pop Art style . I like the freedom to convey my feelings and thoughts through the canvas, a wall, a pair of shoes a piece of paper or any accessory. I can give life to pretty much anything using paint as the bridge and connector. From a young age I learned how to paint and how to create art , went to an art school when I was 12 years old. While learning all the school requirements, I was also learning, music and art. I learned different techniques since little and I made some sculptures. Now I create digital art, T-shirts Prints, Paint on canvas with acrylics, spray paint and oils. I used art my whole life as a therapy. Expressing my feelings using art and colors is what keeps me alive. The first and best seller artwork is "Love me in Pandemic times" that I finished in 2020. I started participating in art events and festivals since 2021 in South Florida. Graphic designer and comercial arts in 2023. To capture a different perspective of my creations, I use 3D paint, glow in the dark, on shoes, jackets, hats, and canvases. All my paintings will look different under the Black Uv-light. All my art is made with LOVE . My goal is to catch your feelings with my colors and give you a sensation of happiness and love, and that is why I always use neon and bright colors. WELCOME TO MY WORLD IN BRIGHT COLORS, GLOW IN THE DARK EVERYTHING.

Currently pursuing a Masters's Degree in Architecture as a way to cross boundaries in art forms and design. ​ From an early age, Merinsky has been drawn to the arts and has experimented with studies that have given her the tools to think spatially and creatively. Her interest in history and psychology has also influenced her work conceptually; as well as her innate curiosity for crossing boundaries in art, coming together in her paintings and designs to create a balance of structure and free-flowing energy.
