And instead went with Martins original choice the frankly ultimate kaiju film Pacific Rim. In this one we talk about just how god dam cool the fight scenes are and how they just look so huge in scale. On this one we talk about how the film feels very tragic and emotional at times, but in the next moment is extremely funny and some how works beautifully. This week as Hollywood is doing it's thing again and wildly delaying one of the most anticipated film of the year to next January. Yes I'm writing about Mickey 17. The new sci fi film we all have to wait a bit longer for now. But we are sticking with relating the episode to Mickey 17. Of course the one picture we have about the film is of Robert Pattinson upside down. So we are talking Robert Pattinson films. Of course I can't alone I'm joined by the third appearance from Haven't Scene It.

Tommy's pick from haven't scene it, is the obvious choice for both of us I think. Of course Tommy is going with the bat shit insane, scary, haunting  and hilarious The Lighthouse. Robert Eggers second feature film. On this one we talked about how the film can be seen on the surface as a straight up, two guys just going insane film, but also a film thats got a lot of layers to it. We talk about the incredible performances from both the lead actors Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe and how there wildly different. Plus we talk about, seagulls, steaks and lobsters. Clair from Why the Flick, is going for a fairly recent Julia Roberts film that made quite a stir when it came out on Netflix last year, Leave the World behind. On this one we talk about how beautiful and artificial the directing is at times. We talk about why the film leaves us with a lot of question at the end and why thats great in a film like this.
