Approaching New Suppliers for Amazon FBA Wholesalers

By far, this topic takes the most skill and practice of any task that you’ll be faced with during your Amazon selling journey. You can make it basic and simple, which will most likely lead to poor results. However, if you take the time to hone and develop this skillset, the only problem that you should run into is not having enough capital to purchase everything that you’re wanting to!

As with any business, there are multiple ways to approach this and it will require some experimentation on your part to figure out which way keeps you motivated and yields the monetary return that you’re seeking.

Before getting started, please be sure your mindset is on point. This is an extremely rewarding part of being an FBA seller, but it can also be one of the most discouraging processes. This is especially true when you’re just getting started or are crunched for time. This skill is the key that separates those that succeed and those that continuously lose money until they quit. This will take time, this will take practice, this will take dedication, and this will make you uncomfortable. Just remember, it will be worth it!

The Number 1 Problem Amazon Wholesalers Have

The name of the game in this business is suppliers. A constant and reliable flow of dependable suppliers is the lifeblood of your Amazon wholesaling career. If you can’t buy products, you have nothing to sell and you can’t invest your money to compound it.

How come everyone else can get suppliers, but I can’t? This is one of the biggest questions I see on every single Amazon wholesale forum, group, or messenger board. The short answer is, you probably haven’t put in the practice enough, which means you’re also doing it wrong.

Anyone has the ability to make money with this business model, but only a small percentage of people can actually turn this into a viable income stream. Why is that? To quote David Meltzer, “There’s only so many ‘no’s’ between you and what you want.”

Check this video out: https://fb.watch/1FQtpqR2u7/ this video completely changed my life. How is this possible? Because in this business, you NEED ‘no’s’.

Cold calling suppliers and asking to purchase products from them can be extremely depressing and even scary. In the beginning, every phone call is like a job interview. You’re going to give them the power to steer the conversation and grill you about why they should sell to you.

This is not how it’s supposed to work. Eventually, with enough questioning, you’re going to accidentally convince them NOT to sell to you. Now, don’t get me wrong, you must go through this process in order to learn how to close a deal. This doesn’t sound too exciting to most, but remember, during this learning process, you will collect a handful of ‘yes’ answers. These will drive your business enough to fund your journey to mastering the cold call.
