    Breaking the Gender Binary in Hellenistic Astrology with Joey Cannizzaro

    On Feeding the Dead | with Angelica Cresci

    I approached Angelica for an interview after hearing her discuss her talk, Cooking for Death, a historical breakdown of and approach to working with animal sacrifice, drawn from ancient Egypt and Greece and grounded in her own magical practice. Along the way, the conversation takes a few turns. If you spend time in certain corners of the astro world, you may pick up on a thread that's been a hot topic. I want to make clear I'm not a journalist. I'm not an academic. It's not my job to make judgments on people—at least publicly. But what I can do, and what I am doing in this interview, is reflect on my own relationship to power and who I choose to give it to. And that conversation is bigger than any one person. This episode is about food—but it's also about nourishment, connection to our ancestors, and connection to self. It's an encounter that's left me asking questions and searching for more questions.     From Mediumship to Astrology with KristaLyn Sofia

    KristaLyn Sofia died on an operating table when they were ten years old. That would turn out to be a major turning point in their development as a psychic medium, and, perhaps, the seed moment for their astrological career. And so, since I don't batch podcasts ahead of time—because that would be responsible and no fun—I'm pulling out a favorite from the YouTube archive.     Alan Scheurman: Applying Consciousness to Astrology

While I've known him peripherally for years — his work has had an outsized influence on my life. This talk has been a long time coming.
