    Ep. 14 - Them Evils

    On this episode of the podcast, Shane and Michael sit down with the wild and crazy dudes from the rock band Them Evils. The band is made up of Jordan Griffin (vocals/guitar), Jake Massanari (bass) and David Delaney (drums). Originally hailing from Las Vegas, Jordan and Jake chose to move to sunny Huntington Beach where they met David and solidified the band's structure. On the podcast, Them Evils discuss their origin with Michael and MAPS Studios as well as their journey of ups and downs in the band's career. They definitely have some stories that classify them as one of the most radical rock bands in Orange County (one word...butt-chug). They'll be performing at the Wayfarer in Costa Mesa on July 31st with Big Monsta, Scarrlett Kenny and Porcelain Hill.     Ep. 13 - Jimmy Hua

    Oooo weee!!! What a fun and hilarious episode with the wonderful, passionate and talented human being, Jimmy Hua. If you weren't already aware, Jimmy and Michael play together in a band called Big Monsta with Adrian Sanchez on bass. Jimmy is the frontman, guitarist, singer and songwriter for the group. They are getting very close to releasing their full-length, self-titled album which they've been working very hard on! You can follow them on Instagram @bigmonstaband or at bigmonstaband.com. The band will be releasing their new album on Jimmy's brand new record label called Lady Brown Records which you can follow @ladybrownrecords. They'll be playing at the Wayfarer on July 31st, 2021 with Them Evils and Scarlett Kenny!

    Ep. 12 - Ryan Athey

    After taking a little break, Shane and Michael sit and chat with one of the MAPS family producers, Ryan Athey. Ryan owes and operates Dire Audio out of surf city, Huntington Beach, California. The discussion gets off to a great start with talking about Ryan's lovely, sexy attire. If you'd like to see it for yourself, check out our Instagram page @recordatmaps. Ryan and Michael went to the same high school in HB but only really got to knowing each other after they both graduated. With the help of the wild man, Max Karon, their world's came together. The trio talks about the separation between LA recording and OC recording and what it takes to start moving from the bedroom to a proper studio. One word of advice, if you ever work in the studio with Mr. Athey...make sure you know how to properly wrap XLR cables.

    Ep. 11 - Of Limbo

    On this wild and crazy episode, Shane and Michael sit and chat with Jake, Luke and Rob, the bandmates in Of Limbo. These dudes are hilarious and definitely brought the good times with them!. Jake and Luke Davies are American/Australian brothers that started the band a few years back. Jake is the singer and frontman that occasionally plays rhythm guitar and Luke plays lead guitar. Rob Graveley joined the band within the past couple years on bass and vocal harmonies. Be forewarned: this episode has some language or quite a bit of language. However, if that doesn't scare you away, it's an absolute blast listening to these three dudes battle and wrestle the conversation. All three bandmates have a few insane stories that they share with Shane and Michael and it's amazing that no one fell out of their chairs from laughing so hard!     Ep. 10 - John Hampton

    In this episode of The MAPS Podcast, Shane and Michael sit down with John Hampton of Hampton Productions. John is a great dude with a great history initially starting in the skateboard world. Through hanging with dudes of Stone Temple Pilot---yes, STP---John was asked to help work for a company called Birdhouse Skateboards which is owned by none other, Tony Hawk! After Hampton left the Skateboarding world, he decided he really wanted to focus on promoting events, but more specifically, concert events and thus he created Hampton Productions. John goes into more detail about the music scene in Orange County and coming out of the rough year that was 2020. Overall, such an inspiring dude like always like to support community and encourage good times!

    Ep. 9 - Ian Bailey

    This might just be our silliest episode yet when Shane and Michael sit down with Ian Bailey of Gardeners Logic. There are moments when the trio talk about very important things and there are moments when the trio talk about basically nothing...Some of those poignant moments include: the discussion of music in 2021, the discussion of songwriting...hmmm...there should be some other important areas of CONTENT...Well, either way, you're going to either thoroughly enjoy this episode like the guys did, or you might be very, very grossly upset and offended. Choose your adventure!!!

    Ep. 8 - Jon O'Brien

    In this episode, Shane and Michael chat with OC producer, Jon O'Brien. Jon is an all-around wonderful human being that owns and operates his own studio called The Music Box Studios. He is currently in the process of building at his new location and discusses that on this episode. He also discusses working with Young the Giant before and during their coming to fame as well as working with some of the members in a current project. Overall, great dude with a great outlook on life.
