He is currently Founding CEO of Solvvy, which applies advanced AI, machine learning science, and natural language processing technology to create business applications that deliver a superior customer experience. Co-founded with 2 acclaimed Carnegie-Mellon University PhD's, Solvvy is backedby top-tier investors including True Ventures, PejmanMar Ventures, Signatures Capital, CMU and others.    Mahesh was the former Chief Executive Officer of GlobalEnglish Corporation, acquired by Pearson PLC for over $100M in 2012. GlobalEnglish, (now Pearson English Business Solutions), was the global leader in providing a cloud-based, SaaS platform solution for improving Business English communications at the world's leading global companies. GlobalEnglish customers include over 650 of the world's largest companies including IBM, P&G, HP, Pfizer, China Construction Bank, Saudi Aramco, etc. As CEO, Mahesh has led GlobalEnglish to record revenues and continuous profitability while dramatically expanding the Company's product offerings to its customers via mobile and social platforms. In 2012, Mahesh led the Company through a successful acquisition by Pearson PLC (UK:PSON), the world's largest education and publishing company. Prior to the acquisition, Mahesh also served as a member of the GlobalEnglish Board of Directors.   Prior to becoming CEO at GlobalEnglish, Mahesh served in a unique array of roles, including CTO, SVP of Global Sales, and Head of Product Development in Fortune 500 companies including the Thomson Corporation (now ThomsonReuters) and CCH-LIS, a leading subsidiary of the Wolters Kluwer professional publishing conglomerate.

Dr. Sharp has pursued an aggressive agenda of strategic planning and progressive and innovative initiatives to keep the American Choral Directors Association energized and relevant in the 21st century. He represents choral activity in the United States as a member of the Board of the International Federation for Choral Music, and is Vice-President of Musica International. Sharp appears regularly as guest conductor and clinician throughout the world, with recent performances in Austria, Thailand, Greece, Italy, Ireland, England, and China.   Tim is approaching his ninth season as Artistic Director of the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, Tulsa, OK, where critics characterize his performances as “impressively polished”, and having “stunning power” and “great passion and precision”. In a recent review of the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus’ performance of Mozart’s Requiem, arts critic James Watts stated, “The Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, prepared by its artistic director Tim Sharp, was in excellent form, summoning up rafter-shaking power…and showing great sensitivity ….” In the summer of 2016, Sharp conducted the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus as the Festival Choir for the 28th International Haydn Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria.

    Dr. Matthew Arau, Upbeat Global Founder, Sits Down for an Interview with Adam Christie

    Dr. Matthew Arau, founder of Upbeat Global, is the Chair of the Music Education Department and Associate Director of Bands at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin. In addition, Dr. Arau is on the faculty of the American Band College of Central Washington University and VanderCook College of Music. He also serves as a Conn-Selmer Education Clinician, and as Member-at-Large on the NAfME Council for Band Education. Dr. Arau has guest conducted and presented on leadership, mindfulness, growth mindset, rehearsal techniques, and creating positive cultures in over 25 states and 4 continents. He has presented at the International Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, the Western International Band Clinic, the NAfME National Conference and webinars, numerous State and Regional Music Education Association Conferences, and the Conn-Selmer Institute. He has conducted honor bands in Australia, Greece, Cyprus, and Malaysia, and All-State honor bands across the United States.
