Believers Identity and Inheritance In Christ Jesus

    1. The "Christ I Am" Identity (Who Christ Is, So We Are) .“ 2 Corinthians 5:17 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].  (1 John 4:17) Amp.   17In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.  Your inheritance is the total sum of heaven’s wealth, promises, and legal rights assigned to you as a joint-heir with the Son of God 2. Who We Are in Christ (Our Position) This represents the believer’s unchanging, legal, and relational status before God the Father, established strictly by grace. A New Creation: Your old identity, past failures, and spiritual deadness are completely gone 2 Corinthians 5:17 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].  3. What Belongs to Us in Christ (Our Inheritance) Every Spiritual Blessing: You do not have to beg God to bless you; the full inventory of heaven's spiritual assets is already yours. Ephesians 1:3 3 Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ, 4just as [in His love] He chose us in Christ [actually selected us for Himself as His own] before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy [that is, consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose-driven] and blameless in His sight. In love 4. Who Christ Is in Us (Our Power) While being "in Christ" describes your secure position, "Christ in you" is the operational power that enables you to manifest His character on earth. uThe Hope of Glory: His presence living inside you is the ironclad guarantee that you will be fully glorified and transformed Colossians 1:27 KJV. 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Our Source of Daily Life: You do not try to live for God using your own limited willpower; Christ lives His victorious life through you. Ephesians 1:13–14 Amp. 13 In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God]. 14 The Spirit is the guarantee [the first installment, the pledge, a foretaste] of our inheritance until the redemption of God’s own [purchased] possession [His believers], to the praise of His glory.

The Keys To Unlocking Heaven: God's Grace, Believers Faith and God Given Authority and Dominion

Matthew 16:19 – "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Have you ever tried to open a door that required multiple keys to unlock? In certain high-security buildings or bank vaults, a single key is not enough. You need distinct keys, turning at the same time, in perfect alignment, to unlock what is valuable inside. Kingdom living operates under a similar spiritual law. Heaven holds boundless blessings, transformation, peace, and eternal life. To unlock these dimensions of God’s kingdom, He has provided specific keys: God's Grace, Believer's Faith, and Believer's God-given Authority and Dominion. When these three are brought into perfect alignment with one another, the doors of heaven swing wide open, and the earth experiences the reality of His kingdom. Grace: provides the promise, the power, and the position. Ephesians2:8-9GNT “For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it.” Hebrews 4:16 – "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."   Faith: believes the promise and lays hold of what grace has made available. Hebrews 11:1 – "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:6 – "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Romans 10:17 – "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Authority and Dominion: speak to the mountain, enforce the promise, and rule over the circumstances in Jesus' name. Luke 10:19 – "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Genesis 1:26 – "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'"

Part 4: The Prison Walls Of Unforgiveness and Bitterness Of The Past: With Guest: Michael Crenshaw

Ephesians 4:31 AMP “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor [perpetual animosity, resentment, strife, fault-finding] and slander be put away from you, along with every kind of malice [all spitefulness, verbal abuse, malevolence].” A topic that is highly personal, incredibly heavy, but completely necessary.  We are talking about the mechanics of internal rot—specifically, Bitterness, Anger, and Unforgiveness. The root system of bitterness, un-forgiveness, and anger grows silently in the soul, but the infection is completely internalized. It affects your health, your worldview, and your relationships, while the outside world remains entirely untouched. Understand that Internalized emotional pain behaves like a slow-acting poison that strictly degrades the individual while leaving others untouched. Definitions: Anger (The Signal)  Biblical/Spiritual Definition: A god-given emotional alert system meant to drive righteous action, which becomes sinful when it is unrighteous, vindictive, or held onto past its expiration date (Ephesians 4:26). It is a temporary emotion that becomes dangerous the moment it is allowed to fester.  Eph. 4:26-27 Amp 26 BE ANGRY [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], YET DO NOT SIN; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. 27 And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].  Un-forgiveness (The Decision)   Biblical/Spiritual Definition: A state of spiritual rebellion where a believer refuses to extend the same blood-bought mercy to an earthly offender that Christ already extended to them (Matthew 18:32-33). It operates as a legal contract that binds the victim to the offense and blocks their own spiritual authority. Bitterness (The Condition/The Infection). Biblical/Spiritual Definition: A malignant spiritual root (pikria in Greek, meaning a pungent, toxic taste) that settles deep into the heart soil (Hebrews 12:15). It is the final stage of an untamed offense, where a person’s spirit becomes completely defiled, toxic, and sour, physically rotting the host from the inside out while leaving others untouched.

Believers Trying To Earn What God Has Already Gave Us Through Christ Jesus

The Paradox (contradiction) of Earned Grace Trying to earn what Christ has already given is a spiritual contradiction. It changes Christianity from a message of good news into a burden of endless work  The Spiritual Danger  Galatians 5:4-5 AMP 4 You have been severed from Christ, if you seek to be justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing with God] through the Law; you have fallen from grace [for you have lost your grasp on God’s unmerited favor and blessing]. 5 For we [not relying on the Law but] through the [strength and power of the Holy] Spirit, by faith, are waiting [confidently] for the hope of righteousness [the completion of our salvation]. Galatians 2:20-21 AMP 20 I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. 21 “I do not ignore or nullify the [gracious gift of the] grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through [observing] the Law, then Christ died needlessly. [His suffering and death would have had no purpose whatsoever.]” Insulting the Cross: Seeking to add your own effort implies that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was not enough. Rejecting the Gift: You cannot earn a gift; you can only receive it. Attempting to buy it changes the gift into a debt. Perpetual Exhaustion: Because you never know if you have done enough, you live in constant spiritual anxiety. Subtle Pride: It shifts the focus from what Christ accomplished to what you can accomplish. Signs You Are Trying to Buy a Free Gift Guilt-Driven Service: You serve in church because you are afraid God will be angry if you say no. Fluctuating Peace: You feel secure when you read the Bible, but condemned when you miss a day. Transactional Prayer: You expect God to protect you or answer your prayers because you have been good. Comparison Mindset: You secretly judge other believers to validate your own standing with God. Romans 6:23 KJV “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Ephesians 2:8 AMP “For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;”
