#23. Tattoos, Piercings, Body Art; How do we use our bodies to express our identity?

It's next to impossible to walk down the street and not see someone who hasn't got a piercing, tattoo or some sort of body modification. Over the last decade, there has been an influx of  TV shows around tattoo artistry which has eliminated the stigma tattoos once held. This has led to an acceptance into the social norm, resulting in more people getting piercing and tattoos. But, is it becoming more popular because it's allowing people to express their own personalities through their bodies? In this weeks episode, we explore the world of body art and how we are using our bodies to express our personalities and identities.

#21. Is being Veggie the new fashion?

Trends come in as quickly as they go out, replaced by the next one of the season. However, there does seem to be one trend that has stood the test of time and appears to be here for the long run... Vegetarianism. Vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, flexitarian no matter where you look there seems to be a new form of diet that people are using to define themselves. With many people replacing foods with plant-based alternatives, are we truly becoming more aware of what we eat and how it impacts the environment or are the majority simply jumping on the new “trend”? With Kora being a vegetarian her whole life, it's a daily discussion she has with many people. Join us this week as we discuss the rise of the veggie-based diet and whether it is becoming the new social norm or whether it’s just another fad?

    #20. Fearless: Everything Has Changed

April 9, 2021 Taylor Swift dropped Fearless (Taylor's Version). For many of us it was an opportunity to re listen to all of those tracks we knew and loved as young girls. An opportunity to sing along at the top of our lungs, reminisce on old memories and experience the album as adults. We don't know about you, but for both of us it was quite the eye opening experience. Join us this week as we reflect on how far we've come since being those young teenage girls singing along to Taylor Swift, the clarity we've gained, the shocks, the surprises and the revelation we had about Taylor's journey and this album being a metaphor for life and growing up.
