    Cohort 1 - The Elman Track

    The suggestion is euphoriaI just kicked off The Dave Elman Legacy Global Convention with a two hour exploration of his work and it's influence on me. I finished with an exclusive. Ricardo Manzo and I collaborated under the name of "Cohort 1" to create a dance tune, whose lyrics are made up entirely of Dave Elman quotes, straight out of his book Findings in Hypnosis.     Hypnopompic interlude

    Morning will come. It has no choice. And we begin waking up; but before anything is voiced. An opportunity presents itself. A magical  moment. In that transition from sleeping to waking. Before the body wakes up fully. Before thinking has fully engaged. In this gap, this moment of silence, with nothing to do, nothing to avoid or achieve. In this space, between two states, you are naturally attuned to a stillness, without effort. The perfume of deep sleep pervades this peaceful experience.     SURFACE. You can choose to engage in self-hypnosis any time and anywhere. You can disengage from that process any time too. However you can ratify the work that you have done and encourage it’s automatic expression by emerging from the process with just as much intention as you when you initiated it.
