    Ep 4 -- Reliant Tom

Claire and Monte make up the Brooklyn band Reliant Tom. In what was nearly a year long process due to the disruptions of the pandemic, Alex  was able to be in Brooklyn and interview the band! The interview takes place on December 10, on the day the band released their single "Black Hole" from their upcoming album. Luckily, the setting took place in the actual studio from which they recorded that album and we were able to listen to all of their original parts! You'll hear first the tune "Black Hole" followed by the interview, so a bit different than our usual battle rhythm but a fun change all the same!  Also for the first time we've our elusive and preternaturally talented Art Director Kelly join us for the entire pod!  As usual take a look at the accompanying playlist and have fun going through what we talk about during the episode. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4sRlicw5vcy78W8VilxiWc?si=z012C7gSSDWRzw695uLnEA&utm_source=copy-link

    Ep 3 -- The Martones

Old friends Joe and Jordan Martone are two accomplished musicians living in the LA area. Alex grew up with Joe and went back to LA to visit him and Jordan, and their new child Giada. During Giada's nap time, we spoke about how they've handled COVID being both in-demand musicians and new parents.  As usual, here's an accompanying playlist to the episode that you can listen to once you're done with the episode -- https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2gopZiZgNgiunsHlsfFjG4?si=2b406dd07a0045d9.

Ep 1 - Sarah Collins & Marty Frye

Sarah and Marty came down for some traditional Irish Folk music and pizza. Sarah is part of a collective called Ministry of Folk (www.ministryoffolk.com/) that brings together some amazing musicians to showcase their community. We got pizza from the awesome Timber Pizza Co. She made a great playlist -- open.spotify.com/playlist/6IhicSS…4QQ-y-Biw4BT1J9Q -- of which we talk about alot in the pod. Then finally our conversation about the #metoo movement in the folk community arises from a blog post (www.ministryoffolk.com/blog/misefosta) they had made earlier.

    Ep 2 - LOGSIE

Good friend Logan Marshall *Logsie* is planning an imminent EP release and along with some of our oldest friends, we listened to some forthcoming tunes in his backyard in LA. He played some tunes from his old band Young Set Club and some unreleased stuff. Joining us were old friends and fellow Angelenos Juan, Jenna, TJ, and Sem -- all accomplished creatives in their own right(s). Our pizza was from Hard Times down the block, would heavily recommend. Check out some of their stuff along with other things that came up during the pod on this episode's accompanying playlist -- open.spotify.com/playlist/6S9gzRz…eLS3ywEEJO-oO6HQ. *Contains Comedy Bang! Bang! joke*
