Breaking Free from Debt: Small Steps, Big Hope — with Julian “The Budget Nerd” Kohlbrand

Welcome back to another episode of Chit & Chat; Encouraging One Another, where we believe every story matters and that a little encouragement can go a long way. Today, I’m excited to share my conversation with Julian “The Budget Nerd” Kohlbrand, host of the Debt Rebel Podcast. We’re talking about finances, debt, budgeting, and some of the challenges that can come with trying to get your financial life headed in the right direction. My hope is that wherever you are in your financial journey—whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, trying to climb out of debt, learning how to budget, or simply wanting to make some better choices—something from today’s conversation will encourage you and remind you that you can take that next step. And, of course, I’ve got some incredible music lined up for you today from Andrew Dean, Bernadette Kathryn, Dust and Grace, and Meghanne Pulles. One of the things I absolutely love about this podcast is having the opportunity to share music from independent artists who put hours and hours of their hearts, creativity, and hard work into their craft. I’m grateful to be able to help share the gifts God has given them and hopefully introduce you to some music you may not have heard before. At the heart of every episode, though, is one simple goal: encouragement. Maybe you’re listening today and life is going great. Or maybe you’re walking through a difficult season that nobody else knows about. Wherever you are today, I hope something you hear—a conversation, a story, a song, or simply a few words—reminds you that you’re not alone and encourages you to keep moving forward. This podcast has never been about the likes, the shares, or the number of followers. It’s about people. It’s about stories. And most importantly, it’s about encouraging one another. First Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” That’s what I hope we can continue doing together, one conversation and one story at a time. So thank you for being here. Thank you for listening, and thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your day. Now, let’s get into today’s episode of Chit & Chat; Encouraging One Another. Thank you to my amazing sponsors to the podcast: Taquiza, Taquiza Street and their brand new truck Taquiza Street 2, located in Silverdale and now off the Brownsville Highway, Lone Star Donuts, with 2 locations Silverdale & Port Orchard Washington, The Kitsap Great Escape with 4 escape rooms to challenge yourself in Silverdale, Wine About It, A great place to "wine" down have some fun, located in Port Orchard. Check out their Facebook pages for all the events going on, address and contact info. Until next time, thank you for being here.
