Making Sense of Trumpet

I think the conversation between Jacob & Cam is an excellent quality time thing to do for myself. I liked hearing the back and forth perspectives between two players naturally I’m sure very different people, as we all are, but working through the common element of daily connecting your lips and airstream to a few square centimeters of brass. It’s endlessly amazing how we endeavor ourselves, often for a lifetime, on such a path of intangibles, preparing (or not preparing) your body to execute an infinite range of physical muscular & sensory & neurologically creative tasks to produce this thing called music, an invisible untouchable force of nature that can harmoniously unite human beings in a nanosecond to act together & literally physically change the world around us. That’s the kind of thing that came to my mind at 6:30 AM, sitting in my car on an industrial side street outside New York City, warming up, sun rising, considering what I might play next, who I’m going to listen to when finish the warmup, etc. Thank you! I have never found a podcast that was this relatable - granted, Jacob and I had the same private teacher in high school HAHA, but I can't see how any other music lovers and/or trumpet enthusiasts couldn't love this content :)

Jacob brings so many unique topics surrounding trumpet to the table. It’s an enjoyable listen and highly recommend it to all trumpet players that wanna geek out over their instrument 🎶
