TL;WR: I found this podcast through Twitter, and I’ve since listened to the first two episodes! I really enjoyed them, and I’m excited to see how “Fear of a Blak Planet” tackles colonialism and challenges the related (typically) White questions/lens/views.
The voice-acting audio is very clear with great sound-leveling (whispering and other changes in volume can be differentiated, and still easy on the ears 👍). And the voice-acting really adds a whole new level of personality to the podcast!
The theme music at the beginning and end are catchy and excellent, but slightly too loud in comparison to the voice-acting IMO. I have some pre-existing hearing problems, so this isn’t too serious, it’s just a bit jarring to have the volume pick up when the dialogue is over. And definitely not enough to ruin the experience!
The plot is progressing really well at only episode 2! Without too many spoilers; the two intertwining narratives are being carried out in a clear and enticing way, making it exciting to see where and when they’ll collide!
N.B. It takes me longer to listen to the episodes bc of my hearing issues, and it’d be great if there was a transcript so I could read along with the podcast. (Obviously not a necessity to enjoy it LOL)
