    Come and See The Lord

What does real love look like when it costs us something? In John 13, Jesus knows betrayal and suffering are coming. Yet He kneels to wash His disciples’ feet, showing that His lordship is expressed through humble service and love that endures. In “Come and See the Lord,” Part 10 of our journey through the Gospel of John, we explore the Lord who serves, the Lord who loves to the end, and the Lord who calls His followers to love as He has loved them. Jesus’ example challenges us to put love into practice. Through everyday acts of service, prayer, and kindness, we can help others experience the care that makes His disciples recognizable. Come and See The Resurrection and Life

What if death doesn’t have the last word? When Lazarus dies, Martha and Mary face grief and questions about Jesus’ timing. Jesus meets them with compassion and a promise centered on Himself: “I am the resurrection and the life.” In “Come and See the Resurrection and Life,” Part 9 of our journey through the Gospel of John, we explore how the raising of Lazarus reveals Jesus’ power over death and invites us to believe. Jesus’ tears show that faith and grief can coexist. His promise of eternal life offers hope beyond physical death and a life that begins now, reshaping our priorities and giving us confidence to follow Him. The message invites us to respond with trust and surrender, then closes with communion and a reflection on Jesus’ death bringing God’s people together. Scripture: John 11 For reflection: How would trusting Jesus with your eternity change the way you live today? Click here to donate to the program Click here for more sermons OC Church of Christ

Come and See The Good Shepherd

Who can you really trust with what matters most? In John 10, Jesus describes Himself as the gate and the Good Shepherd. He offers life to the full, willingly lays down His life for His sheep, and promises that no one can snatch them from His hand. In “Come and See the Good Shepherd,” Part 8 of our series through the Gospel of John, we explore how these promises shape our response to Jesus. His sheep listen to His voice and follow Him. His sacrificial love also challenges us to consider how we can lay down our lives for others. From a playful debate about greatness to a personal invitation to trust, this message points us toward the Shepherd who knows us and gives Himself for us. Scripture: John 10:1–29 For reflection: What is one specific area where you need to trust Jesus this week—and what step could you take? Come and See Miracles | What Am I Not Seeing?

What if our biggest blind spots have nothing to do with our eyes? In John 9, Jesus gives sight to a man born blind. The disciples ask whose sin caused his condition. The Pharisees question the healing. As the man comes to recognize who Jesus is, others resist what the miracle reveals. In “Come and See Miracles,” Part 7 of our journey through the Gospel of John, we explore Jesus’ response to suffering, the temptation to assign blame, and how our assumptions can get in the way of belief. Beginning with a personal journey through eye disease and surgeries, this message connects physical sight with our need for spiritual light. Jesus invites us to trust Him, respond to His words, and bring His light into our families, workplaces, and communities. Come and See Grace

Does your worst moment have to define you? In John 8:1–11, a woman caught in adultery is brought before Jesus. Publicly accused and facing condemnation, she encounters grace and truth: “Neither do I condemn you…go now and leave your life of sin.” In “Come and See Grace,” Part 6 of our journey through the Gospel of John, we explore how Jesus responds to failure, why grace invites us to change, and what it means to extend that same grace to others. The message closes by pointing to Jesus’ sacrifice - the love behind our opportunity for forgiveness and a new beginning. Scripture: John 8:1–11 For reflection: Where do you need to receive grace, and who needs you to extend it? Come and See the One Who Satisfies Your Soul | John 6

What do you reach for when your soul feels empty? After Jesus feeds the 5,000, the crowd follows Him for more bread. But Jesus invites them to see beyond their next meal and recognize who stands before them: the Bread of Life. In “Come and See the One Who Satisfies Your Soul,” we explore John 6 and the difference between temporary substitutes and the life Jesus offers. He doesn’t just provide what we need but He is what we need. Jesus’ invitation also challenges us. Will we believe, trust, and surrender when following Him becomes difficult? When many walk away, Peter’s response brings us back to the One who has the words of eternal life. Scripture: John 6 For reflection: Where are you turning to satisfy your soul? Come and See the Messiah | Does Jesus Have Something for Me?

Does Jesus have something for someone like you? In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well and responds to a royal official whose son is close to death. Their circumstances are different, but both encounters reveal the Messiah’s invitation to believe. In Come and See the Messiah, Part 4 of our series through the Gospel of John, we explore how Jesus crosses barriers of prejudice, offers living water, and speaks truth that changes lives. His conversation with the woman opens up questions about our deepest needs and what it means to worship in spirit and truth. The royal official’s response challenges us to take Jesus at His word. Together, these encounters invite us to consider who Jesus is, trust Him with our needs, and share His good news with people we might otherwise overlook. Come and See the Savior | What Does It Mean to Believe in Jesus?

What does it really mean to believe in Jesus? John 3:16 tells us that God loved the world and gave His Son. Those familiar words invite us to consider our own response: do we trust Jesus as Savior, and how does that trust shape our lives? In Come and See the Savior, Part 3 of our journey through the Gospel of John, we explore Jesus’ nighttime conversation with Nicodemus, His teaching about being born of water and the Spirit, and the connection to baptism and new life. We also revisit the bronze snake in Numbers 21 to understand why Jesus said He must be lifted up—pointing toward the cross and the salvation He came to bring. At the heart of this message is God’s love and an invitation to respond to Jesus with belief, trust, and surrender. Scripture: John 3; Numbers 21:4–9 This week’s reflection: What would it look like for you to trust Jesus as Savior in your everyday life?
