    Healing Perfectionism with Empathy - with Josh Martino and Natalie Egan

    Text us: What Vision do you want to manifest? Have you ever gotten triggered and done something really embarrassing? I did... right after I hit publish on Season 1 Episode 9 - which was about embracing imperfections and rolling with intuition. When you listen to that episode, you can hear the joy in my voice about starting my new holistic space organizing business, Room to Transform. Right after I hit publish, I picked up my Choate Alumni Magazine, The Bulletin, opened to my high school class' section... and read one guy's most perfectionist  class note!  It sent me spiraling! To discuss the surprising outcome of my action, I invited  "perfectionist", Josh Martino (he/him), President of Home Team Restaurant Group,  to be my guest. I also invited our classmate, Natalie Egan (she/her), who is a Trans Woman and founder of Translator.inc, a tech company focused on teaching empathy in the workplace. Yes, it can be done!     Text us: What Vision do you want to manifest? Hello Visionaries. This episode accompanies an art show going on Feb - April 2023 called Landscape of Our Minds at the Laconia Gallery in Boston, MA. The show is curated by Yolanda He Yang who founded our artist collective, Behind VA Shadows. Remember I mentioned the collective in TVJ S1 E9? Since we were both VA's (Visitors' Assistants) at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, I submitted a photo I collaborated with JESSC.X on, for my photo series, In Her Words Diary.    In this episode, I share the original vision that launched my interest in making visions.  JESSC.X shares their perspective on making the photo, how their life has shifted over the pandemic, and how artwork from the ICA influences their life now.  Fun fact, the night of my artist talk March 31, marks the 6th anniversary of me asking JESSC.X to participate in the project!     How Jumping into Podcasting Led Emily Falcigno to an Unexpected Career Path

    Text us: What Vision do you want to manifest? In the beginning of this Season, I had no idea how to create a podcast. I learned by doing, had a lot of help, and improved my process along the way. Not only in podcasting, but in following my intuition to a new career path.  This episode is a musical journey with my friends and guests through obstacles, anti-racism work, surprising turns, determination, and small miracles.  You can find the songs I reference in the Soundtrack on Spotify.  I added some songs I love too. Like Flight 180 by Bishop Allen that is a wonderful example of the use of crescendo and storytelling in music. And empowering songs by Lizzo. She inspires me every day.
