Cartoon Feelings

Dear Ira, Just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the impact your work has had on me. I recently discovered your Skillshare class and then your podcast, Cartoon Feelings. The episode "Making Comics" was a spark of inspiration I needed at just the right time. And Caitlin's questions were a perfect representation of the many questions I, and others, have but don't know how (or who or when or why) to ask. Read McCloud, Barry, Sturm, and many other graphic novelists on the subject of making comics, but your episode last week served as the catalyst to re-ignite the creative fire I voluntarily extinguished back in 2017 when I took on a corporate job and started a family. No regrets! But I’m also no longer making excuses or thinking it's too late - I'm just getting started. Now subscribed to the podcast and about to be yer newest patron. So thankful for the opportunity you've provided and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it. P.S. Caitlin. Won’t ever bring it up again but do hope you turn your dream into reality. This is a great podcast. Love the new format where the hosts discuss animation with a guest. Smart, insightful conversation.

There’s countless podcast about cinema but not many that focus specifically on animations. Well, this is a stellar one. And not just among cartoon focused podcasts but a a great example of how any cinema podcast could be. That is, it’s not just another podcast with shallow reviews or reaction to upcoming movies, but an in depth discussion that gives historical context (both personal and otherwise) for the film and also explores the - forgive the pun - feelings that the films in discussion engendered in them that provides a nice personal touch. The hosts have good chemistry and the banter feels natural but never boring. Highly recommended.
