MY CHIC INTUITION

Carmen Alicia Ramos

My Chic IntuitionThis is not a podcast. It’s a frequency. Hosted by Carmen Ramos, My Chic Intuition is an unapologetic space for women navigating identity, relationships, confidence, femininity, ambition, and the complicated process of becoming who they were always meant to be.  We talk about the things women are often taught to make smaller our desires, our standards, our intuition, our voices and our presence.  This is for the woman who has been called too much, too emotional, too ambitious, too sensitive, too intimidating or simply told she should be grateful for less. Trust yourself. Take up space. And always follow your chic intuition.

    Love Is Not Musical Chairs

Send us Fan Mail That quiet thought, “What if I never find my person?” can sneak up on you at the worst times like after another engagement post, another wedding invite, another baby announcement. You can be truly happy for someone else and still feel that sting of “When is it my turn?” Today we sit with that fear without judging it, and we talk about how relationship timeline pressure turns time into a threat instead of a neutral part of life. We get into what happens when uncertainty has no explanation. The mind starts writing one: maybe I’m too picky, maybe I’m hard to love, maybe everyone good is taken. Those thoughts can repeat until they feel like facts, and that’s where dating anxiety grows. We also call out the slippery moment when fear of running out of time makes us negotiate our standards. Low communication becomes “giving them a chance,” mismatched goals become “maybe they’ll change,” and constant anxiety becomes “we just need to work harder.” Then we shift the frame that changes everything: you’re not waiting to be chosen, you’re choosing too. We talk through what it looks like to choose from safety, trust, communication, shared values, and the ability to handle real life, not just chemistry. If you want love deeply but don’t want fear to rush your decision, press play, then subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a review with what you’re choosing differently now. When Being Picked Becomes The Trap

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever looked at a relationship from the outside and thought, who exactly are you trying to convince that you’re happy? I’m pulling on that thread and getting honest about the gap between being partnered and being fulfilled, especially when “having a man” starts feeling like proof of your value instead of a choice that actually supports your life. We unpack the quiet ways self-abandonment can masquerade as being a “good girlfriend” the shrinking, the constant understanding, the never-ending adjusting. If your needs keep getting minimized while his comfort stays centered, that’s not compromise moving in both directions. And when you’ve spent months or years defending the relationship, leaving isn’t just a breakup, it can feel like admitting you were wrong, which is exactly how people get stuck performing happiness and doubling down on a story that no longer fits. I also talk about why competition between women gets so intense: sometimes we’re not competing for the man, we’re competing for what having him represents being chosen, being ahead, being desirable. Social media makes it worse by turning relationships into content and “proof,” while the emotional reality stays hidden. So I’ll leave you with one of the most clarifying questions I know: if nobody could see your relationship, would you still want it? If this hits, subscribe to My Chic Intuition, share this with a friend who needs the gut check, and leave a review so more women can find the conversation. Support the show
