    How do you say my social bucket is full in friend?

    You know how it is.. you book yourself to hang out but then you get bogged down with work, you had a rough night and now you're overwhelmed. But, it's a standing date with the girls. As a mom with mega anxiety, I'm always worried that I'm letting my friends down. I'm afraid of losing my friends because I have really good friends but my social capacity is at the max after one visit. It takes me about 10 days to recover - legit! How do you communicate those feelings of needing to sit this social gathering out? I'm working on how to do it and also feel ok with it. I think it's more me, really.     Parenting and besties.. to say something or not?

    **vent session loading** You have a friend who you adore and love and is your chosen family but what do you do when you want to protect them from something that you deem hurtful? Do you mention it or just let it be? Grab a drink and a chair and help me talk this through.. what do I do?

    Don't be scared to ask for what you want!

    No one is going to guess that you're stressed out and need a break. If you act like everything is ok, it will be fair to assume that it's ok. I realized recently that I wasn't ok and wasn't saying or telling the people around me what I needed and was mad and hurt. I had a major fall out with the fam and discovered that I was harboring resentment. Listen in as I talk about what that was and how I am going to fix it. Cheers!

    My takeaways for 2022

    Hopefully I will use this as a guideline to a better and less stressful 2023. Here I list my top 7 takeaways. These are just some things I learned this year and I hope to really accept these guidelines and use them. Take a listen and let me know what you think.     Chill out!! I can’t!!

    Can you just relax? Just sit and relax.. I can’t. It’s legit so stressful for me to stop. I always have to be doing something. I saw my mom do it too and in my mind, being busy means being a hardworking woman. I can be hardworking and still take a break. It’s ok to take a break. Take a break. I challenge you to take a 15 minute break and really do something for you without distractions and focus on yourself. I will do the challenge with you, I promise.     Letting people down? Stop that!

    How do you deal with that overwhelming feeling of letting people down or letting the people closest to you down? On top of that, it’s the holidays! So that feeling is overwhelming times 100. In today’s episode we’re going to be talking about that feeling.. that horrible, horrible feeling. I will tell you how I deal with it. But I also want to know how you deal with it. Are we doing ourselves a disservice by doing this? By thinking that we aren’t doing enough, are we really not doing enough? Or are we doing too much and now the expectations are increased?
