(and how it MAY just really be an aphrodisiac) Get the NEW Madison's Mad Facts by joining our Patreon (only $5 a month!) https://www.patreon.com/c/MadisonontheAir Find Toni on TikTok: Aunt_Toni_68 https://www.tiktok.com/@aunttoni68 CREDITS: Written & Produced by Chrisi Talyn Saje Audio Engineering by Jeremy Saje Madison Standish was played by Chrisi Talyn Saje We go over the recipe, but the sound recording wasn't ideal, so here it is to follow along: 3/4 cu. cornmeal 1 cu. all purpose flour 1/3 cu. sugar (or just sprinkle) 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cu. buttermilk (or 1 cu. whole milk + 1 tsp. white vinegar) 1 egg beaten 2 tbs. shortening or bacon fat  Preheat over to 425 Put shortening/bacon fat in pan and let it preheat with the oven In mixing bowl, add dry ingredients mix/sift together. Add wet ingredients. When oven is preheated, pour batter into pan (it should sizzle) Bake 20 minutes or until golden on top. Cornbread should easily remove from pan, feel free to use butterknife to loosen the sides if sticking. Enjoy!
