    The Quismah episode-Kush Mt. Vendor Day pt.2

    Astral Trap & Kiandre of the experimental rap duo Quismah join the podcast live from the Kush Mountain vendor day at Diamond Greens Dispensary off S. 12th street. Sean Brooks co-hosts with me and we hit the pavement running in this funny, kush mountain laced episode that touches on the origins of Quismah, how they came together and the entire recording process and how they feed off each other’s creativity to make your listening as smooth as possible. When listening, it sounds as though they’ve been making music together for years. Truth is, they’ve been friends since the sandbox but just recently began this current music project together in this last summer. Kiandre talks about a stint in the film industry in LA and that opened his eyes to how the music industry works and Astral Trap speaks on his recent successes such as having numerous beats purchased and played by the NBA on their Instagram posts which is a major win for Astral Trap. Part 1 of a 3 part series where I took my LIKEITORNOT podcast inside the doors of local Tacoma dispensary Diamond Greens and sat down with the bud extraordinaire’s from Kush Mountain- who held their first vendor day in the Tac town. Sit back and listen to some funny and wild ass stories that are told by the 3 man collective that is Kush Mountain. Tune in also as Mark, Andy and an unnamed associate talk about the importance of educating yourself about cannabis and cannabis products to simply expand your horizons and keep you safe while getting higher than the midnight sky.     The Chef’s Table pt.2-A Manuscript takeover

    I recently had the pleasure of having the owner Eda & some of the core members of the Manuscript restaurant team on the podcast. And with the help of my good friend Chef Lewis of Radnor’s Burgers, some Philly cheesesteaks from Legendz & 100 proof tequila from my guests, this episode quickly became an instant classic. Another huge thanks to Eastside Bill for capturing the moment as well and a huge thanks to DJ QJ of Post Office Studios for opening the space for me once again. As some of you may already know, Manuscript has ditched the old school style a kitchen has been known to be ran and has instead, installed a new, conventional, teamwork style that has all chefs seeing eye to eye. From new recipe items on the food menu to new drinks on the cocktail menu, this spot works as a team and consult with each other on everything. You feel it the moment you walk in. And it shows in the food. The way it looks and especially the way it tastes. Same with the drinks. Everything done with care. S/O Eda! They did that and are doing it still. If you haven’t been in yet, this is your calling. They also boast one of the best brunches in town-fully intact with local dj’s DJ Semaj & DJ Hanibal who keep the vibe rolling every weekend.     The Fans of Horror episode ft. Anthony Dluzak

    LIKEITORNOT is back with an episode that will have you wanting to listen to it in the dark. Or atleast with a group of scary movie enthusiasts and fans of Halloween because I had the pleasure of having horror film aficionado and true Halloween fan Anthony Dluzak on the podcast this past week. And between him and I and Chef Lewis of Radnor’s stories (who guest hosted with me) we may just scare the shit outta ya. We recite scary movie lines too and shared our favorite scary movies of course and why, we brought old trick or treating stories up and so much more off the wall stories, you’ll just have to tune in to see what I mean. Never edited, just classic, spooky Halloween banter between a group of dudes having cold beverages and getting animated as f**k about how Classic those 80’s horror films were and how we were just so lucky to have such authentic scary movies being filmed in the 80’s. We give up our favorite directors of that genre too. I truly learned a lot from Anthony about horror films in general, again, you just gotta listen! I take the cast off track a few times but that’s LIKEITORNOT’s style, we always get back on track eventually! Anthony speaks on  "Friday Night Frights" which is his monthly screening party at the Blue Mouse Theater in the beautiful Proctor district, a tradition that’s been happening for 11 years now! He also tells us all about the Halloween Parade/Street Festival that’s coming up in Proctor a week and half before Halloween. (Which lands on a Friday this year folks!) We talk about costumes we’d worn throughout our Halloween careers and so much more. We could’ve made this a 4 hour episode easy. Hope you all enjoy this one. Hilltop Tacoma legend Rachi Wortham rejoins the podcast & Hilltop Tacoma legend Chris Crayzie co-hosts with me, as we record from inside Pizza Time Pub on Sixth Ave. So many memories evoked, so many stories told, from hooping to the hood and bringing state titles back to Tacoma, this episode is on fire, literally. Stories of triumph and stories of tragedy, you’ll laugh and you might even cry. Rachi gives his top Washington State high basketball starting 5 of ALL TIME & you gotta hear it. Hyp brings up the 2000 Foss team and declares it a cheat squad because they were so good, so selfless, so together and ended up beating Garfield in the semi-finals, who had Brandon & Ed Roy on there squad back then. We touch on so many topics, Chris Crazyzie speaks on his show "Trash Talk" which premiers at Nate Jackson’s Super Funny Comedy Club 7/16 and we speak on Nate’s Netflix premiere as well. Rachi & Nate roomed at Eastern Washington University back in the day & shares behind the scenes stories you can only hear from him and on this episode of LIKEITORNOT. Hyp even tells a story about how back in the late 80’s, he, his brothers and friends would "play" Crips & Bloods, instead of Cops & Robbers, not the best move in the 80’s on or near the Hilltop.
