    National Chicken Wing Day is the perfect excuse to eat wings and say drink so I opened my contacts, started cold calling friends and ask one question Tacoma takes seriously. Where are the wings that never miss, and what do you order so they come out right? The answers stack up fast, and certain names keep surfacing for a reason: Flying Boots, Loose Wheel, Hans Place, The Tea House at the B&I (closed Wednesdays) Lucky Silver, LaCa Bar, Burnett’s fish sauce wings (although they’re in Renton, ppl can’t stop talking about em), and more neighborhood staples that feel like the Tac on a plate.  We get deep into the details that actually matter if you’re chasing great chicken wings in Tacoma. Do you ask for extra crispy every time or trust the fryer? Are you team naked wings with sauce on the side, or do you want them drenched? What’s the move when you want lemon pepper but still crave buffalo, and where do you go when you want heat that’s more adrenaline than dinner? You’ll hear real ordering strategies, real Wing Wednesday habits, and honest takes on consistency.  We also check in with Tre, owner & Wizard at Wing Wizard for the on-the-ground plan, pre-order approach, and new flavor ideas, because the food truck scene is part of what makes Tacoma and the South Sound such a good place to eat.     Wrestling Nostalgia And The NBA GOAT Fight From A Sixth Ave bar

    A random afternoon at Pizza Time Pub on Sixth Avenue turns into the kind of raw Tacoma sports podcast you cannot script. Frank and I were sitting in the window with a drink, a mic, and a full room behind us when the talk jumps from WWF nostalgia and all-time wrestler picks to a surprisingly serious question: why do we get so attached to the sports eras we grew up in? That thread runs through everything, even when we are cracking jokes or getting sidetracked by a no-caller ID interrupting the table.  Then we go right at the third rail of NBA conversation: LeBron James vs Michael Jordan and what “GOAT” even means. We argue stats, defense, rule changes, and longevity, and we admit the real issue is how different eras get judged by different standards. If you love NBA history, playoff basketball, or just hearing friends debate without polishing every word, this section is for you.  From there it opens up into stories and community: a deployment memory that still makes us laugh, draft talk through the lens of parenting, a live call-in with Casey Harkins, Seahawks and softball nostalgia, burger spots worth driving for, and Tacoma names that deserve more credit.     The Opening Day episodes pt.1

    LIKEITORNOT is back! It was Opening Day and I met Big John at the Pub on 6th. Ave and had a blast recording in the window, the sun was shinin’, we were people watchin’, shit talkin’, it just another episode where we give our hot takes on the Sweet 16, we talk Mariners baseball and what our thoughts and expectations may be for the boys this season, we talk about Terry’s Office Tavern’s classic bar food and how steady they’ve been at pumping out some of the best bar food in town. Again, Big John was co-hosting and he works there ha ha. We talk about softball and the impact it’s had on our lives lol. We get a cameo from Bryce, a Matchless Brewing rep who blessed us with 3 personal cans of the newly released FOMO IPA. Thank yall so much that was a beautiful gesture. Rick the legend, was tending bar, a few other people came on the pod and made random cameos and I was personally powered by the Cal Raleigh collab beer that Scuttlebutt brewing produced last season. The pub just got a new shipment and we definitely enjoyed a few of those, so a huge s/o to SCUTTLEBUTT BREWING! And shout out to you, the listener.
