    Friend, The new year always brings with it a hope for better, for change, for different, and most of all a hope to get closer to God and align to His will, to be more obedient, faithful, steadfast and good and faithful servant. To get more of Him! Before we get down to do our prayer boards and put goals in place, let's bring it all to Go, what we want to do, achieve etc. Let us let God guide our steps. We chat about why its important and just better to let God be the center, be number 1. To be our God.

    Hello Hi friend, I have been reading 1 and 2 Kings and there are quite a few lessons in those books that i was not expecting (The Old testament is quite an intense part of the Bible for me). The first lesson I received was about Healing and how God will heal you His way and the way that is for YOU- YOUR own journey. Not how you think it should go or a copy and paste of someone else's healing journey. God is for us, God's plans for us are beautiful and intentional and we need to lean in, obey, follow Him and walk closely with Him throughout your life. Life changes all the time and each season and level of your life requires a different you, a healed you and God will take you through paths and reveal some things so that He can heal you so you become stronger, wiser and whole for where He is taking you. God knows you and what you need every single time. Tune is as we talk about Naaman and how God changed his life just by being obedient to his instructions

    Episode 29 God's definition of 'Good'

    God is Good and everything He does is Good. But we don't always agree or understand- we usually see it after the fact. But we haven't always asked Him what He means when HE says something is good. When He takes us through seasons and daily life, alot of it is for our own good and His Glory. All things work together for our good. All things being the good, bad, ugly, weird and everything in between. So while we are in each season or even everyday, should we not continously talk to God and ask Him what is Good for us according to His perspective and plans? It might just help us to minimise worry and increase our faith so we can remember that God does good things and fills our life with Good things according to His Will.

    Our hearts are deceptive and they hold alot of things that we know and don't know. Our hearts can lead us astray (most times it has) and our lives are often a reflection of what's in our hearts. Asking God to search our hearts should be a daily practice, daily prayer, asking Him to show us, to reveal what we don't know and what we do know, for Him to heal and restore. King David knew that his heart wasn't always right or true and he was honest with God about this.  We chat about letting God in, letting God show us so that we can be good and faithful servants to Him and in our lives and to the people around us. Everything flows from our hearts, so let's let God be Lord over our hearts.

    The Word of God is our foundation. Our guide. Our strength. Our everything. This verse has so much meaning to it, it's an instruction for daily living. Nothing happens without God and as I have held on to this verse while reading and studying through the bible, I have found that there are other verses that point back to this one. Different ways of saying 'God and God's Kingdom first.' Have a listen to why I love this verse and why this instruction is so important.

    It's taking time because it's supposed to.

    Friend.. We need to give God time to work because He knows how your life is supposed to go and when things need to happen. We rush to get to the end of a season, or breakthrough or miracle or that blessing/s that we don't stop to seek God in each day and ask Him- what are we doing today? What plans do you have? What do you need me to do? We should wait upon the Lord, knowing that He is going to do it and do it perfectly and exactly what we need and when we need it. We are already blessed, in the season that we are in and just our life in general. Have a listen and I pray that it blesses you, shifts your perspective and moves you closer to God and what He is doing in your life.

    Obedience moves your life forward

    Obedience is a tough one. Tough to put into practice every time. Our feelings often get in the way, so does our fears, doubts, pride and the I-want-to-control-the-outcome mentality. God just wants your obedience and Trust. Doing as God says- all you need to trust is His promise which that all will go well with you. Obedience is moving forward in your life- you might not see the immediate movement but you have moved in the right direction. This episode we chat a bit about Jeremiah and how he was obedient, a good and faithful servant of the Lord. Hopefully we can think of him when we don't "feel like" doing what God has told us to do because of how it may look like.
