    Coverage of UConn Crazy Win Over Duke Discussed + Final Fours, MLB Start & Tiger Woods With Ken Fang! | LWOS Media Podcast

    It's the latest edition of the show, as the NCAA tournaments are now set for the men and women and we're ready to discuss the coverage. Plus, MLB starts the season on Netflix, NBC is back in a big way and more, including Tiger Woods latest driving while impaired disaster and more on the "LWOS Media Podcast!" Host T.J. Rives is joined by Ken Fang of Awful Announcing to discuss it all. They have lots of thoughts on the UConn miracle comeback and three pointer to oust Duke Sunday night. How "Perfect" was the coverage and the call?! Also, what about the tourney announcers overall and Nate Burleson as the host in primetime for CBS/TBS? And, what kind of games/drama will we get with UConn meeting Illinois and Arizona battlling Michigan? The guys also discuss the perceived slights for the women's tourney re-emerging from the NCAA and TV partner ESPN. Their final four has traditional powers UConn and South Carolina with Texas and UCLA. Then, there are the takes on the start to the MLB season with Netflix strating things last week with their broadcast from San Francisco with the Giants and the Yankees. How did they do? And, then they discuss NBC Sports getting back into regular national broadcasts, but are they doing a disservice to their p x p guy, Jason Benetti by having him rotate with local/regional baseball analysts in the booth? Then, the pivot to golf and the off course, mess that Tiger Woods continues to be with driving while impaired and accidents? His fourth one comes in a neighborhood near his Jupiter, FL, home last week and now, Tiger is apparently headed back to rehab to try to help himself. And, all of this is on the heels of the Masters tourney to be played next week and the boys reminisce on the 40th anniversary of Jack Nicklaus' amazing final round at 46 years of age to storm back and win his 6th and final green jacket! And, Ken gives his thoughts and fears on ESPN taking over the NFL Network as of April 1st and what does it mean for their personnel/employees with ESPN now in charge of them/their contracts, etc.?     March Madness RULES for CBS/Turner + MLB TV chaos to ensue? And More With Tyler Jones! 3 24 26

    We're back in the throws of March with the 2026 NCAA Men's Tourney in full swing and CBS/Turner are benefitting from it. We're ready to discuss that, the start of the MLB season and more on the newest "LWOS Media Podcast!" Host T.J. Rives welcomes back Tyler Jones of LWOS.com/Media and his "The Jones Report" Podcast and Roundtable Sports. They begin with first weekend of March Madness games for CBS/Turner. The ratings boomed and T.J. and Tyler go over the top announcers to cover the drama, but also what was CBS doing with it's studio coverage choices too? And, they look ahead to this weekend, whre Tyler will be going to the Sweet 16/Elite 8 games in Houston. Next, they talk lots of MLB and the baseball season getting underway with Yankees and the Giants playing on Netflix on Wednesday night 3/25. Netflix is obvioulsy going for subscribers with unique events and will do some more baseball later in the Summer. They also talk the debut of "Sunday Night Baseball" coming on NBC Sports with Jason Benetti as the the lead voice and an interesting strategy on analysts.  And, T.J. continues to lament what he sees is upcoming chaos for MLB.TV and local/regional TV deals that affecting many thousands of fans tryinng to view it in many markets.  There's also some talk of the NFL Network, their personalites and ESPN now owning and controlling it. Tyler has some interesting insight and takes. And, Tyler also has more on the apparent slow burn for NASCAR with Fox Sports about them seeming to care and promote INDY Car racing instead of them.     World Baseball Classic Delivers + NCAA Tourney Underway And NBC NFL Studio Shaekup With Steve Carney 3 17 26

Rives is joined by Steve Carney of LWOS.com/Media to go over the latest. They talk the amazing drama of the World Baseball Classic, eventually won on Tuesday night by Venezuela over the USA. Next, it's "March Madness" as the 2026 NCAA tournament gets underway this week. The "Selection Sunday" show scored big for CBS, yet again and get ready for the upsets, too.     It's mid-February but it was action packed over the weekend and whether it was Olympics, NBA All Star Game, Daytona 500, etc., we're discussing it all on the "LWOS Media Podcast!" Host T.J. The guys discuss the Winter Olympics results and coverage, including U.S. favorite male skater to win Gold Ilia Malinin faltering last Friday and then showing tremendous class/composure in the post event interview after not even getting a medal. The guys also talk the Olympics leading into NBC's coverage of the NBA All Star game and whether that event resonates any more? They also talk the start of the MLB Spring Training and the controversy with MLB Players Association Director Tony Clarke being removed for an "inappropriate relationship" with his wife's sister, the coverage of it and is there guaranteed Labor relations trouble with the owners coming now? Plus, the World Baseball Classic is about to be played starting in two weeksa and Steve has the lowdown on that being covered and televised.
