'I Think I'm Toxic', And Other Things We Never Say Out Loud

Your monthly All Personal Leadership Newsletter — audio brief. "I think I'm toxic" — said no one about themselves, ever. And yet… toxic dynamics happen. In teams. In cultures. Sometimes even in our own heads. In this episode, Roxana Radulescu and Felicia Stepan go backstage into real workplace scenarios submitted by real people in the frozen middle — the managers and leaders navigating gossip and favouritism, passive-aggressive feedback, cultures of polite silence, and managers who just... go quiet. No theory. No headlines. Just boots-on-the-ground conversations from people living it. 'I just Want to Be Me!' and Why Other People's Opinion Is Their Business'

The All Personal Podcast is back — after 5 years! 🎙️ And it's changed to super short form: your monthly All Personal Leadership News, now in audio form. In this episode: After 10+ years of coaching conversations across industries, titles, and seniority levels, one theme keeps showing up, almost without exception: Am I enough? What will they think of me? What if I fail them? In this episode, Roxana takes you backstage into real coaching conversations to unpack the one common denominator behind all of it: The Voice. The one that second-guesses before you've even started. The one that replays the meeting after it's over. The one that keeps you small, quiet, and safe. She calls it Buzzkill. You might have a different name for it. But here's what's also true: the Buzzbuild Voice is always there too. It just needs permission to speak. Plus, a book recommendation that will quietly shift how you think about other people's opinions: 'The Courage to be Disliked ', by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitaro Koga. Because "things of lightness" might be the leadership concept you didn't know you needed. 🎯 Coaching question to sit with:What permission would you effortlessly give yourself, if the critical voice got quieter and the cheerleader got louder today? 🔗 Links mentioned in this episode: 🌐 The All Personal Monthly News: https://personalskillscoach.com/news/ 🌐 Free leadership resources: https://personalskillscoach.com/media-resources/ 📺 The All Personal Coaching Questions Friday Raffle playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvLKiUK0FiqXMv8py2678RZTt83A6ogY2 📖 'The Courage to be Disliked': https://www.amazon.com/Courage-Be-Disliked-Phenomenon-Happiness/dp/1501197274 📅 Book a complimentary 30-min call with Roxana: https://bookings.cloud.microsoft/book/TalktotheFaceOneOffCoachingSession@personalskillscoach.com/s/gZBHDjaEf0GUkZBimEyVIQ2?ismsaljsauthenabled=true Game On: Lead Different!

A Rebel with a Big Cause - All Personal with Rachel Despres

In this episode, I talk to Rachel Despres, a Career Coach for Rebels who, after successfully escaping her own cubicle, began helping others break free of their desk jobs and build unconventional careers that truly fit with who they are—from creative work, to side hustles, to starting a business. That word, rebel, is one that I found to be the magic key in your conversation. Which you will love, as she takes us through her journey of becoming a coach for rebels and a rebel herself, from ‘rule follower extraordinare’ as she calls herself at some point.  Sharing some nuggets of our conversation here: How she realized that she followed all the rules, did everything according to the rules, and she was so unhappy How asking the question ‘what else could be possible?’ can be a pivotal moment for many of us What were some of the strong skills muscles that helped her make the shift from corporate to business, and the skills muscles she had to work on growing How some corporations lose so much talent because they’re not flexible to make room for the various talents that people bring, and allow them to move where they fit best How we all want to contribute, make a difference and work with purpose, and realize there’s much more we can do Why passion, values and skills is the place where we can find the real magic – and how to do that So, get ready to make room for some ‘big magic’ in your life as you join Rachel and I in this episode!  Book recommended by Rachel: 'Big Magic', by Elizabeth Gilbert Where you can find Rachel: Website: http://racheldespres.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/racheldespres/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/racheldespres/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rachel-despres-22201249/ To chat with me about emerging leaders, leading different and skills muscles, book a call here.
