    My Dad, Gary Ladinsky, recounts his harrowing experience recording John Lennon with producer Phil Spector during the "Lost Weekend" sessions in Studio A at Record Plant West in Los Angeles 1972.This is the first in a series of podcast interviews with recording engineer Gary Ladinsky, who in this series "Behind The Console With Gary Ladinsky," shares his stories working as an assistant and lead engineer at Record Plant Los Angeles with a variety of artists, producers and engineers including:  Bill Withers, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Bar-Kays,  REO Speedwagon, Gary Kellgren, The Ohio Players, Quincy Jones, Cheap Trick, Moody Blues, Van Morrison, Brownsville Station, Tom Werman, Ed Cherney, Tom Dowd, Molly Hatchet, Donna Summer, Dr. John, Sly Stone and many others.
