    An extra-marital affair, a backstabbing friend, a relentless prosecutor and the impeachment of a once beloved president.     Ona Judge: The Story of George Washington's Escaped Slave

    On january 1st, 1847 a newspaper titled “the liberator” published a letter written by reverend Benjamin Chase describing his visit to Ona Judge.     From the late 15th century, to mid 19th century, an estimated 10-12 million africans were forcibly shipped to the americas to be bought and sold as slaves, the impact of which we still feel, almost 500 years later.
