Key study points: - In Exodus 19 Israel had an encounter with God. - Thessalonians 1 talks about identity, power, being an example, and church expansion. - In the new birth we become members in God’s global family, but God’s plan is also for us to be connected locally to a local church. To be planted and rooted. - Bible talks about assembly, gathering, the “called out ones”, His nation: holy, with a purpose, carrying His presence, and coming together. - God is the one doing the appointing and settings (1 Cor. 12:28), and He gives grace for each member (Rom. 12:6-8). People learn little by what you say, more by what you do, and most by who you are. - Planted, rooted, serving, growing, praying, and carrying a heavenly vision (Matthew 28, Mark 16: The Great Commission). Good church is worth moving to another city for. - Church is coming together (including relationships and fellowship), and going out (producing fruit and impacting eternity). - Serving is for every member. Time is precious. Serve at least once a month. Mindsets changed by God’s word, hearts healed, and lives restored. - Correction is very necessary in order to grow. Constant change is needed to mature in Christ. Don’t let offenses move you out of the plan and purpose of God. Offense may be the biggest reason why people uproot themselves leave a church. - Love, forgive, stay humble, build relationships, continue in fellowship and as you receive start to give. Jatkuvaa muutosta tarvitaan, jotta voi kasvaa kypsyyteen Kristuksessa. Älä anna loukkausten siirtää sinua pois Jumalan suunnitelmasta ja tarkoituksesta. Loukkaantuminen saattaa olla suurin syy siihen, miksi ihmiset repivät itsensä irti juuriltaan ja lähtevät seurakunnasta. - Rakasta, anna anteeksi, pysy nöyränä, rakenna ihmissuhteita, jatka yhteydessä ja kun olet saanut, ala antaa.
