Good afternoon everybody and welcome to this week's Six Sessions. I’m excited to introduce today’s guest because he is one of only a handful of people where I genuinely look forward to seeing his Linkedin posts. I’d go as far as saying he’s the funniest person in my feed with a healthy dose of sarcasm mixed with relatability. Honestly, he’s someone I admire and outright wished I was that funny. Today is about copy - the stuff that can make the difference between a sale and someone walking away - but it’s also about humour. It’s about positioning and it’s about growing a personal brand - a term I was specifically asked to use by today’s guest. This session is going to be about growth through words - and moving away from the drivel everyone else is posting He’s someone who has professionally always been a wordsmith, from football journalism to writing university web copy to agency side to running his own renowned copy shop - with clients like Nespresso, Landrover and the BBC. I also have absolutely no idea what he does in his spare time, as I’ve not asked him yet but he is our first Six Session scouser and also the only guest I’ve ever Rick Rolled prior to a talk. The Six Sessions have given me the opportunity to chat with some amazing people in the growth space and today’s guest definitely ticks that box. These chats are designed to be short and sweet… and hopefully full of insight. And it’s definitely unfiltered - which is the fun bit… and may or may not be pushed to its limits today. Joining us from Liverpool, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you, Dave Harland - The Word Man.

Good afternoon everybody and welcome to this week's Six Sessions. Now I know I say this every week, but I’m really excited about today’s guest… he’s someone with that rockstar marketer like vibe and if you know anything about Inbound - you’ll know who he is and the community he’s created. Today is about community and growth - not just business growth but personal growth too. We’re going to talk about growing through partners and we’re going to talk about how you step from radio to helping grow the number one CRM on the planet. Today’s guest is someone who dabbled with websites in the screechy dial-up days and is a self-confessed marketing obsessive. In his spare time… he’s dissecting the marketing strategies of the big billion-dollar companies - and watching the rise and fall of marketing trends. We’re going to talk trends, partner-led growth, SaaS and a bunch more. The Six Sessions have given me the opportunity to chat with some amazing people in the growth space and today’s guest is special because he knows his shit when it comes to marketing, but also, because of the impact he’s had on the communities he’s involved with. These chats are designed to be short and sweet… and hopefully full of insight. And it’s definitely unfiltered - which is the fun bit… so don’t judge us too harshly if we say something that pisses you off. Joining us from Ohio, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you, Devyn Bellamy - HubSpotter extraordinaire and founder of Black@Inbound.

This episode has been few weeks in the making… because the tech failed us last time around… Today is going to be about seismic change. It’s about moving messaging, but also about moving market mentality - and going against positioning you’ve spent years building and nurturing. This afternoon we’re going to talk SaaS growth, pivoting your position and how you go from being a physicist to improv comedian to being one of the top marketing heads in tech. The Six Sessions have given me the opportunity to chat with some amazing people in the growth space. And Today I have the pleasure of learning from someone who’s been at the centre of growth for one of the best things to come out of Massachusetts - other than Harvard, MIT, Red Sox, Pats, the Bruins and Mark Whalberg… He ran the funnel marketing team for the company that built the market leading funnel supporting software - and was charged with helping to shift the messaging from funnel to flywheel. If you’re interested in huge message driven SaaS growth, how to move your stance in the market or you’re just looking to be entertained for 30 minutes on a Friday afternoon, you’re very welcome. These chats are designed to be short and sweet… but hopefully full of insight. And it’s definitely unfiltered - which is the fun bit… And speaking of filtering, this session very nearly didn’t happen at all - as Linkedin censored our guests name, causing even more tech issues… Joining us from Boston, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you, HubSpot’s very own flywheel master, Jon Dick.

    Helen Dibble (Incredibble)

Good afternoon everybody and welcome to this week's Six Sessions. Hopefully free of technical errors this week… Today’s episode, I get to hang out with an old friend. As in I’ve known her for a long time - not that she’s old, old… She’s someone who definitely believes in the power of growth through content and is acutely aware of just how much s****y filler content is out there… And that’s exactly why she started her business. To try and combat the influx paint-by-numbers, SEO baiting B2B content. The stuff that no one reads, but businesses keep producing. She’s done the yards in content… from PR to Marketing to Entrepreneur and coach… Having worked with her across a number of clients, and even producing some of the earliest Six & Flow blogs, one of which is still getting some of our highest traffic, I know that she understands how to get inside your business and produce something that will resonate with audiences. Today’s chat will give you insight into how the top tier of content agencies are delivering content driven growth. Or, possibly, you’re going to be presented with 30 minutes of two old mates just catching up. These chats are designed to be short and sweet… but hopefully full of insight. If today’s isn’t, that’s Helen’s fault and you can reach out to her directly to let her know. Oh and just a reminder, it’s definitely unfiltered - which is the bit that makes it fun for me… Joining us from Manchester, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you, Helen Dibble, founder and Managing Director of Incredibble Content.
